Beauxbatons' Years

Okay, so I was thinking, I put my WIP character's birthdate as being in August (she's seventeen) and assumed that she would be in her seventh year. However, unlike Hogwarts, the Beauxbatons' school year starts in August. For Hogwarts characters I work on the idea that those (for example) who would be seventeen in August would be one of the youngest in their sixth year, but those who are seventeen in September would be one of the oldest in fifth year. So I'm assuming with the start of the school year that "cut off date" would change

So basically, what I'm asking is if a Beauxbatons student would turn eighteen in the upcoming August (ie: is seventeen in November playtime), would she be one of the oldest in the sixth year or one of the youngest in the seventh? Sorry if that seems really awkwardly asked, I found it really hard to explain what I meant :P

your student should be 11 before the start of the term. So she would be a 7th year if she was already 17 by the time august starts. Making her one of the oldest in her year (having turned 17 the august before).

If she's 17 now... then she'll be a 6th year.
