As he listened to the complaints from his bar staff his mind wondered back to the weeks that had passed. He hadn't told his sister that he was engaged, or that Ivana was living with him in a sense. IT hadn't been made official but she did have a key to his home. Things with them had gotten better since the accident as he called it now. There was so much to share his mind was in overdrive at all times. He could remember how he'd distanced himself from his little sister. Keer had been easier to hide from, only needing to see her every now and then because of school. And she didn't know his moods that well just yet or at least he hoped. Pushing himself up from his chair as the crowd moved about to do their work he looked around at them all.
The complaints were things Etain usually handled, but under orders her position had been put on hold. She was after all carrying what could very well be the next air to the Regan throne. Skylar was his son, this was a fact but he knew better than most the council would never allow him to sit in Aeric's seat. Unless he and his soon to be wife had a child of their own, Etain's son may be given that great responsibility. Though he put the fact that his sister knew the business better than him in more ways then one on the table. They seemed to consider a woman running the family if and when Aeric ever stepped down. Whether it be willing or otherwise. Green eyes dropped down to look at his watch before he grabbed his suit jacket before vanishing in thin air. Apparating was becoming easier, like breathing.
Walking slowly he pulled his jacket on his shoulders, lifting his hands afterward to pull his hair back into a ponytail. Lunch, even though he wasn't really hungry, with Etain at her favorite place in London. As he walked in his eyes scanned the place before looking at his watch again. He was early, or maybe by being early he was late. Who knew? Walking over to a random table he dropped down shifting his chair to have his back to the wall. He needed to see everyone that walked up, take note of everyone who came and went. He ordered a beer while he waited on his sister. He knew she could already be there watching him from the shadows. He was alone having sent Niko to discreetly follow Ivana. Her safety was important to him being that he had nearly lost her. A day he never spoke of, the memories seemed to haunt his sleep from time to time.
He often found himself sleeping on the couch with a glass of scotch in his hand. Never drinking just pondering the idea to do so. When asked he was working on something important and fell asleep. It didn't happen often but it happened enough. But those thoughts weren't on his mind, his nephew was. Did the little guy need anything, did Etain need anything. Was there going to be a baby shower, did she have things she wanted but didn't have time to buy? Was Tony being weird like Aeric was told most men are. Was Mama Ri there when she called without her having to wait? So many questions but the main one on his mind was; how was she doing. He missed her greatly that much was for sure and today would be the start to rebuilding the strong bond they once held. New relationships had seemed to take most of their time, though they saw each other still. It wasn't like it was when they were fresh out of school shopping and having water fights without Dom's approval. She was in the simplest terms his best friend.
With a sip of his beer he looked down to see what he just mind have a taste for when they actually ordered.
