New Shinies


Well, this feature wasn't going to be rolled out until the Anniversary theme was released, but with the school terms ending, I figured why not.

We have a new Awards feature. Some of you may have noticed little year badges, trophies, or quidditch-related shinies top up in your profiles lately. Instead of doing individual graphics banners for various awards/milestones, we'll be replacing those with the Awards. Not only will it be updated to reflect how many years your characters have been on the site, but will show House Cup and Quidditch Cup winners for each school, Couple of the Month and Post of the Month winners, student positions (have you always wanted a Prefect badge in your profile?), and special site event awards for being active.

Now please realize that these won't all show up automatically - I have to enter them all in by hand. Right now the Hogwarts House Cup and Quidditch Cup winners for each school have their awards, along with a few various year awards. Please be patient with me; I should have your year awards up by the end of next week.

this was a good idea, and a lot more convenient that the og banners that you couldn't really display without slowing down the loading time of the site.

These really are super awesome. I think it's a good way for us to be able to display those awards without having to make a ton every month.
