Gen was settling into her knew place rather nicely, even after the horrific exposure to her roommates full exposed body. Things were going well thus far, the rent was affordable and she was getting along with all of her other room mates. Although some of them had decided that wearing clothes in the house...well it was optional to some. Needless to say...she had started to get used to it. It was either that or blush ever time she saw him walking around the house. She had adjusted rather quickly to life on the beach. It was nice, the water was gorgeous and though she hadn't seen a sunset yet, she knew she had plenty of time for that. She had just gotten out of study group and arrived back home. She dropped her stuff off in her room before coming back into the main room. "Hello...? Anyone home?" Her English was still a bit choppy and she wasn't even sure if anyone could understand her. The sun was still up....it would have been setting soon though.
A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips, maybe she would get to see the sun set on the beach after all. She tossed her hair back behind her shoulders before kicking off her shoes. She swung open the door and stepped out into the breezy air. The wind took her hair with it as it blew across her face. She smiled and looked up at the sky. The sun was sinking lower and lower with every passing moment. After a few more steps she stood at the waters edge. She dug her toes into the sand and flopped down laying her head back to look up at the sky. She would see her sunset, and maybe even the stars. Her hair fanned out across the sand and her toes dug deeper and deeper into the wet sand.
The sun started to sink beyond the clouds, it was painting the sky a reddish orange color. It cascaded sights of pink and yellows. She sat up and smiled as the it sank below the horizon. Her eyes were in a daze and her jaw dropped a little. The colors were impressive and she was in total awe of the sight. The way the colors reflected off the water and bounced back into the sky, the way the sun's light made the water look like glass and glitter. She pushed herself to her feet and the strands of her hair, being wet and slightly sand covered, tickled her back. She stared out into the sunset and let out a sigh of happiness. Things were finally starting to set into place. She was happy in her new home, she was getting help so she wouldn't fail out school and she finally got to see the sunset on a beach.
