[solved] Potential former Prefect/ Head Boy

Hiii, all!

I was wondering if one of my WIPs, Ben Fletcher, could have been a Gryffindor Prefect while he was at school? He was a Sixth Year during Harry's first year (one year above Percy Weasley), so there wouldn't be a conflict with canon. I wasn't able to find anything suggesting that there had been a specific male Gryff Prefect who would have been in Ben's year, whether from HP-canon or MH-canon, so I figured I'd ask if I could write that into his sheet.

I was also wondering about the Head Boy status for his year, but if that's too extensive then leaving him at Prefect would be great!

You're correct, there is no mention of any Gryffindor prefect during Harry's first year by name. Just a lot of names whose House is unknown as JKR didn't state it in the books.

The same goes for Head Boy, and usually (but not always) if one is prefect they are made Heady Boy/Girl.

I'd say go for it since there aren't any canon mentions ^^
