The thirty-four year old man woke up like he did every morning. On the floor of the spare room at Brennan's home. Of course his best mate had a bed, but Owen didn't find them as comfortable as they use to be. Getting up, Owen stretched his back, the familiar sound of bones cracking from laying on a rigid floor all night brought instant relief. Turning on his stereo, Owen turned up the volume and moved to make himself breakfast as The Raspberries began to sing about love changing a man. He wasn't sure if that was true as he has yet to experience it. No that was a lie. There was this woman that he hadn't been able to think about no matter how hard he tried. Even when she had a child, dated other men who were more...toned than himself. "She wouldn't want some fat slob like yourself Owen," he muttered to himself as he made a cup of early grey tea. Despite having lost most of his weight, Owen still saw himself as the overweight man he use to be.

Akaban wasn't kind to him at all.

The song changed and The Jackson 5 belted out their tune of wanting their girl back. Frowning at the stero he wondered if this was fate pulling a cruel joke on him. It knew that he was going to be starting to teach at Hogwarts this term as the new Muggle Studies Professor. The same place that Olivia Welks worked at, the girl he always loved but could never have. Throwing his tea cup at the stereo, he watched as it shattered against the black muggle item. A sound of breaking glass and nothing more as The Jackson 5 continued their ballad. "Bloody love songs." Grabbing his shirt, Owen slipped it on as he headed out the front door and towards London city. Not even bothering to turn off the stero as he slammed the door. Brennan could deal with whatever song was playing when he came back.

Having acquired the new position, Owen had needed to live somewhere closer when Hogwarts was out for the Holidays. Of course he was offered to stay on the school grounds but he had declined. He wasn't sure how he would fare living in the school so he decided to play it safe and get his own place. In his right pocket was a piece of parchment stating a wizarding home was for sale in London. It boasted that while it was in a muggle neighborhood, the home was charmed so that no muggle would be aware of it's or the owner's existence. Located in the South Kensington area of London, Owen figured that the fair price tag would be worth checking it out. Since it was an open house there was no surprise that other wizards and witches were looking at the property. After talking to the wizard who was selling the place, Owen began to walk around the four story home.

As he rounded into the kitchen he stopped suddenly and stared at the woman in front of him. Was this fate laughing at him once again? There behind the counter was Olivia, her beautiful auburn hair flowing down to the center of her back. As she began to turn towards his direction he quickly ducked his head behind a large wizard with a pot belly and grey mustache.

"Please don't see me...please don't see me.."

Grey and Olivia needed a place just for them. With everything that has been going on for the past few months they deserved that. Olivia Welks also wanted to make sure that nobody would get hurt if she wolfed out without being around her wolfsbane potion. The potion helped her, but still wasn't a cure or even a thing close to protecting her family. With Grey visiting his father for most of the summer it was a good time to look for a place. There were a few requirements: away from people (witches and muggles alike), big enough for them, and Grey wanted a big backyard so he could practice quidditch. They would only use the house doing the summer and breaks, but Olivia would probably be at the school more than anything. She still had a hut and then a small little shack in the woods where she hid when she transformed but this house would be there get away from everything and everybody.

Olivia was dressed pretty muggle; Blue jeans, blue shirt, her dragon hide boots, and a sweater. Her bag slung on her shoulder, like always. Usually if she went a place she never went she would try to see if she could find forms of some sort of creature. That is how she became what she became, searching for a creature. The first house she went to needed a lot of work. It looked abandoned even though it was away from everybody. It needed new walls, floors, and a roof. It was just horrible. Being a professor, she did not make that much. The second was just to small for Grey and her to live comfortably. They would probably be at each other's neck within the first five minutes in there. It felt like her shack she hides in. It was not a family place.

The third house was a nice four story house located in a muggle neighborhood. It was enchanted thankfully so Grey could practice in the backyard. It was around people though; that was her only fear. It was an open house so it would be best to check it out. Olivia noticed a lot of people around looking interested in the place. She started in the backyard first checking it out. It did have a tree house but her son was older now, a tree house probably would not be the best thing for him. As she entered the kitchen she looked around. It was nice. Pretty large kitchen. That's one thing she liked about the house. Turning around she glanced to see where the living room was. Some larger man moved and she noticed someone from school, someone she heard was going to be working with her again.

"Owen?" She raised an eyebrow at him. She has not seen him for years. He really lost weight. He looked amazing. Olivia went up to him and pulled him in for an embrace. "How are you?" She stepped away from the hug, looking at him more intensely. "You look good." She smiled at him. They were close in school. He was a chunky boy, but still her friend. Olivia was not vain or even judgmental about anybody. She was so stuck on her boyfriend's in school though that most of her guy friends had to deal with her ramblings about them. Owen was supportive of everything. He was such a good friend. She felt horrible that she let life take a turn and stopped talking to him.

"I heard you are going to be a professor!? Congrats!" Olivia was told she was going to be the Head of Hufflepuff this year. It was such an honor. She has been working at Hogwarts for years but never thought being a Head would be something she was chosen for. She did love all her students and put focus in them as much as her son's school work.
