The crisp fall air hung in Knockturn Alley with a foreboding chill; it was impossible to ignore the changing season. The alley's patrons milled about in their heavier cloaks, their hats pulled further onto their heads than was usual. It seemed as if the summer had handed the baton to fall in the most lithe way possible - here one day, and gone the next. Felix, however, strode through the dingy alleyway not paying mind to it at all. His normal charming smile was fixed to his face as he nodded at passersby - the welcoming gesture seemingly out of place. This was not out of place for Felix however, he was here on business, and when on business he was always on his best behavior. A woman nearby was muttering fervently to herself - Felix offered her a 'hello' and was gone before she could affix her eyes to him, her breathy curses chasing at his back.
It was populated today - Felix suspected with school having started back up, the area may have gained an extra few customers, taking a detour while shopping for the items their children forgot. He opened the door to Borgin and Burke's, holding it for a small, squatty wizard who eyed him suspiciously before stepping in in front of him. Felix was dressed in a new emerald cloak, with a black dress shirt and pants underneath. On his way into the store, he spied a small animal skull with one glittering eye staring in turn at each of the consumers at they walked in. As he passed it, his cloaked arm swept over its shelf, the skull dropping into his pocket in one swift and casual motion. He would enjoy examining it later.
Felix milled about the shop, pretending to look at other things, and eventually made his way to the counter; he asked for "Mrs. Ephalda Wimbrook", and was escorted through the doors behind the counter. This is why he was there - the occupants of the dimly lit room were seated, there was only one vacant chair next to a rather dirty looking wizard with grimy hands and a long, scraggly black beard. Felix seated himself in the old wingback chair, attempting to scoot it further from the man as naturally as he could manage. Once he was seated, he looked around at the group, "Well good afternoon, everyone - it has been some time, has it not?" He smiled a toothy, attractive smile at them. "Marcius, how are your children - your youngest started school this year, did she not?" As in most of these interactions, Felix did not receive the warm welcome that he offered.
"I suppose you all want to get to business..." he trailed off - he knew why he was here. In the time he had taken off working for the Banes, he had began to take on a choice few odd-jobs from old, trusted customers of his service. While he had received nothing but a floo network summons, he had a hunch this lot may be wanting to enlist his expert thieving skill in making a a fat bag of galleons off of the magical creature breakout from the zoo in Africa. However, he was not so keen to assume with this lot, "I appreciate you all of thinking of me in your time of need - although, I confess myself uninformed - what are the terms on which we meet today, my friends?" Though the room was dingy and dim, Felix's teeth sparkled as he smiled over at them coyly.
