Alicia sang under her breath, a little offkey, as she scrubbed the potatoes for dinner. Ripley had been weaving around her legs, trying to get attention, and when he couldn’t, he just laid against her legs, panting. He was such a brat, but he was her brat. The scene was all very domestic. She didn’t know how she and Leifr had gotten to this point, but she wasn’t complaining. Even though their schedules didn’t always fit, and hers was always hectic, it worked. She didn’t know how it did, but it did, and she hadn’t lacked for happiness.
Ripley perked up, and the next thing she knew, he was bolting for the door. Rolling her eyes, she put the clean potato into the colander with the others. She let out a little startled squeak with Leifr began to speak, knowing that he was coming, but not knowing that he was so close. Her eyes crossed when he touched her nose, and she just blinked in puzzlement. What the hell was going on?
“You’re dirty.” She remarked, looking him up and down. He must have been working on the car then, like he said he was going to, and she must have lost track of time. “Please? There are a lot of potatoes that need peeling.” She grinned at him, watching him walk to the back, and went back to scrubbing her potatoes, and she just happened to look up into the mirror. There was a black smudge on her nose. “LEIFR!” She squeaked, going back to the sink to clean it off. She growled.
“I’M GONNA KILL YOU!” She said, laughing and miffed.
