Clementine looooooved sweets. She was trying to cut back, but it was so hard. Indulging in treats from Honeydukes, which was 100% and undoubtedly the best candy store, was difficult. There would be no complete abstinence from the sweet nectar of candy. There were plenty of other things she was addicted to, and frankly, this was probably one of the more innocent things. And Honeydukes was easy on the eyes. Pink, blue, purple, red, green -- you name it, there was a candy in that color. Even the less desirable colors, like baby-shit brown and snot-green and vomit.... yellow? Did vomit have a color? Nah. It was too versatile to put a finger on.
Her bag was filling up toward the brim and she was using her fingers to count in her head how many sickles it would be versus the small amount she'd saved up over the summer for Hogsmeade visits. And booze. And cigarettes -- but that was beside the point. She figured this was enough, so she grabbed a wire tie from a nearby bagging station and curled it 'round the top of the bag, humming a little tune to herself before she turned to walk up to the cash register.
When she was finished and headed toward the door, a familiar face appeared (seemingly out of nowhere, it was weird) and Clementine smiled warmly at Freya, leaning into the hug and squeezing tight. "Hey, Freya!" Clementine said cheerfully, shaking her head and shrugging her shoulders. "Nope, not meeting anyone." She was sad about that for about 0.2 seconds, and then Freya mentioned grabbing a drink. "Uh, sure! Like a drink, or like a drink drink?" The Gryffindor lowered her voice during the latter half of her semi-shady inquiry and arched her brow. A drink-drink would probably be preferable. She doubted Freya would be uncool about it.
Freya looked distracted after that, and Clementine whipped around to observe what she was referring to. "What the hell?" She muttered, exchanging a look with her friend. "Uh... what should we do?"
