[Announcement] Canon Characters

The Free & Taken Canon Characters list will be pruned in the following playtime, as per the rules listed in the respective topic. This is just a notification for all those with a canon character or with claims on a certain character that should they not have been active with their characters, the character in question shall be deemed as “open for applications”, or in the case of pending claims which have expired, the claim shall be annulled.

As such, should you encounter the criteria for losing claim on your canon character, you may post your character until the end of October 2002 playtime, finish your pending canon’s sheet, or apply for an extension. Following the deadline, a reapplication will be required.

Please take note that a playtime lasts around six or seven real life weeks.

Hi everyone!

It's that time of year again - comprehensive canon pruning!

Friendly reminder to please post your currently-played canon or finish your WIP canon before July 15th, which is ten [10] days from now.
Any canons who have not been posted IC (or had an update submitted) in the past six [6] months or whose claim is more than six [6] months old will be considered "open for new applications" - that is, someone else may apply to play that canon, and the WIP claim will be removed.
If you've only recently applied to work on a canon (i.e. it's been less than six months since you were approved to make a sheet), don't worry! You may continue to work on your WIP canon.

There will be no extensions granted, given that the original deadline was the end of October 2002 playtime (May 15, 2019). The Free & Taken Canon Characters topic will be updated over the course of the next few days.

Hi again, everyone!

After further discussion among the admin team, here's another update/summary now that it's July 15th EDT. There have been a few rule tweaks to help clean up the master list, so please read this notice carefully in case the changes apply to you:

• For WIP claims, the character will be considered "open for applications" after six months (unless the one-time extension is requested, in which case this becomes one year) if the character has not been submitted for Sorting by then.
• Unless another interested driver applies for the canon on which you have a WIP claim after this six-month inactivity period, you may continue to work on the canon until the one-year mark.
• All WIP claims that expired over one year ago have been deleted from the master list. If you'd like to continue to be considered for playing this canon, you'll need to re-apply. This will be the case going forward and is a change from the previous rules.
• As with WIP claims, Sorted canons are considered "open for applications" after six months of IC inactivity.
• Unless another interested driver applies for the Sorted canon you currently play after this six-month inactivity period, you may continue to have a "claim" on the canon until the one-year mark.
• All Sorted canon accounts that have not been posted IC in over one year have been archived. If you'd like to continue playing this canon, you'll need to re-apply. This will be the case going forward and is a change from the previous rules.
