There is a weird moment when one wakes up and their brain thinking that it is at home, tries to make sense of its unfamiliar sights and sounds within it’s sleepy haze. For Lesleigh, who’s bedroom window was above Diagon Alley, the sound of Sunday morning car traffic was completely out of place. She cracked her eye open and found a ceiling washed with late morning light from a window on the wrong side of her room. It took a few blinks to realize this was not her room at all. She closed her eyes and thought. She could not remember getting a hotel last night, besides her budget would not allow for it.
Too broke. Did I take a port key somewhere? Maybe I crashed at a friend’s house. She rationalized this as she sat up, while feeling a familiar throb in her temple.
There was nothing worse than a Hangover. The problem is that she was pretty sure none of her friends had rooms which looked like this and no respectable wizard’s inn would have a muggle cat poster that said ‘hang in there’ just slapped on the wall with a sticky charm. Where was she? She then became aware that besides the large comforter and the sheet cocooned around her she was naked. Like COMPLETELY NAKED
Oh, my sweet Merlin, What happened last night? She glance over the edge of the bed, but only a strange lone sock laid there crunched up. It was not hers. She was about to crawl over the other side of the bed in search for her clothes when her hand felt something under the comforter… With wide eyes she pulled back the quilted blanket to see a snoring mess of red curls.
Jeremy!?!? Did she really go home with Jeremy? NO way! No freaking way! And did they… No, she would never … She lifted the covers more, he was in a pink silk robe covered in Unicorns shooting rainbows out of their asses and nothing else.
“OH, MY…" escaped her mouth before she slapped a hand on her face to prevent herself from waking him up. She was going to cry, scream, and run away but first things first she had to find her clothes. She slipped out on the opposite side of the bed and began her search. Although she quickly found her wand on the nightstand, the rest of the bedroom did not produce anything she owned, just some random scattering of Jeremy's clothes. Even summoning her clothes did not seem to work. She was going to check the rest of the house but as she got close to the door, she heard voices coming from down the hall.
"Shoot, shoot, shoot," or more precisely something more of the colorful variety escaped her lips in a whisper. Although she was also determined to slip away before Jeremy woke up, she preferred not to have to parade in front of his roommates nor apparate to Diagon Alley wearing only a polka dotted sheet. She would have wished to apparated directly into her bedroom but her mum had incoming apparition wards on the house. She finally resorted to opening Jeremy’s dresser drawer quietly, to barrow Jeremys clothes. She could apparate to Diagon Alley, slip into her house, change and act like this never happened. Although her heart sank as she realized she may not find her favorite black leather jacket again. She supposes she could ask him for it later, but Merlin help him if he gossiped about this.
I mean he was Jeremy. JEREMY! I would never. I mean really someone must have Imperius me or something..
Swimming in the least outrageous things she could find, which consisting of a “Taco Tuesday” shirt that showed tacos running saying “don’t eat me,” red and green plaid boxer shorts and a cheapy pair of neon yellow sandals five sizes to large, she opened his door and then apparated out of his hallway. She got up the three steps to her father's store door, when she halted. Her mind was just going over what she needed to do today, she thought about the task of feeding her boss’s cat and remembered his keys. "The Keys? THE KEY’S! Oh MY GOSH THE KEYS! Where are they?" She patted her non-existing pockets, while her mind raced. She had had them when she checked on her boss's cat yesterday. She put them in her jacket pocket and went to the bar. She had to check on the cat today and her boss was going to be back tomorrow. "Oh MY … I am going to get fired."
It only took her three seconds, before she was back in Jeremys bedroom. Standing over him with her hands on her hips.
It was all Jeremy's fault and he was going to help her find them, or she was going to... "Ahhhggrrr," a frustrated growl escaped her lips before she continued the thought.
...go all dark wizard on him or something. She grabbed the corner of the blanket covering him and then pulled back all the way revealing the six foot tall curly mop headed idiot who since her absence had sprawled out, reclaiming all the bed real estate.
"Wake up Jeremy. Wake UP!!” She shouted not caring of his bloody roommates heard. She had to find her Boss's keys and this sleep goof was going to get them for her. "Jeremy!" She wondered if she should shake him, or summon some water when he started to wake up on his own. She quickly demanded, “Where is my clothes and my keys?”
If he vanished them as part of a joke, she was going to kill him!
