Visiting Hogwarts

Question: is it possible for alumni to visit Hogwarts during the school year for a specific purpose? Like, if a prof or someone invited them to the castle for a day or something like that.

I apologize if this info is somewhere; I couldn't find it!

A case could be made if it were a guest lecturer for a class, or a person for a specific event, like how the Ministry did Apparition lessons.
