Word Filter?
« on: July 30, 2011, 10:32:12 PM »
I am submitting my character and it was brought to my attention that the characters mothers name is "Lady Jedi" I thought at first I had made a mistake while typing it up and somehow replaced the name with it myself, so I modified my post and saved it, only to see that it was still there. I thought that maybe it wasn't updating it so I made other changes just to check and they appeared.

I suppose my question is,
Is there any reason  L a u r e n  is under a word filter, and is there any possiblity of having it removed?

staff......lots of the staff would take their real names and filter them to be something else.

So for this case just do this

Code: [Select]
Lauren

In answer to your original question, no, Im afraid it cant be removed permanently. It happens occasionally if anyone's character has a family member called Julie, Lauren, Jenny, Inga or Carys (granted the last one is less likely - and thats me by the way :))

As Alice said, the way around it is to type the name, then put your cursor somewhere in the word and add italics - it doesn't actually italicise any part of the word but it confuses the filter so it doesn't change anything. It could be worse though - I play Hannah Abbott, and when we had an admin called Hannah...well you can guess the rest :D

Sorry if we confused you!
