Strange lyric question?

I really stink at making up lyrics and Erik is quite the musician and singer, so i was wondering if i'm allowed to use modern song lyrics? i won't say they're actually from a song, but more like he's making them up. i also know that if i'm allowed, they should be a bit more time appropriate (if you know what I mean) also, i don't plan on using them all, just little bits of lyrics.

well, yeah. maybe like a line of a song since i wouldn't want to shove a whole song in my post. if i take one line, i can probably make up another on my own. if i can't, that's okay too.

If you don't want to do that I'm pretty decent at coming up with lyrical/poetic ramblings. I would be happy to supply you with them.

And yup yup, making my character right now if you believe it or not. It's slow going. I keep getting side-tracked making up the family tree.

well i can offer Erik here when he is sorted and such he likes to help the new kids, but he's in Ravenclaw, though most of his friends are in scattered houses. i also saw he's Irish, and so is he so they have a few things in common.
