"I know, it reassures me that I'm not old," Kendrick grinned. "Don't worry, you'll lose yours before me. Someone told me once that old men are the least likely to have a good one. We'll know when your cakes start smelling funny," he laughed, plunking his coins on the counter. He was in a playful mood, as evidenced by his mock horrified expression. "Are you telling me you're tricking your customers into becoming sucked back here again and again? There should be regulations against that, you know," he admonished. "I'll have to report you to...somebody," but it was about there that his act broke down. Kendrick was never very good at acting completely contrary to his nature, and this just didn't sound at all like him.
"It's going well," he replied, running his hands through his hair and then pulling out another coin just to fiddle with. Kendrick liked to fiddle with something most of the time. "Well, as well as wedding planning can ever go. It stresses most of us out on a regular basis, but that's to be expected. I am indeed excited," he grinned, his happiness inevitably displaying itself all over the man. Stressful or not, Ken couldn't be happier. The war was over, Bri wasn't really mad at him anymore, Ingrid was...getting there, and he was getting married. Sometimes he couldn't believe it, but there it was. "I'm always more graceful than a beheaded chicken though, don't worry. Men are supposed to have more coordination than that. You might be losing yours if you eat too many of your own sweets, though--I hear getting fat can throw off your kinesthesis." Not that Geri was getting fat, but he was like a brother and Kendrick couldn't resist the jabs. It was nice having someone to joke around with--Jo could get a little snappy with him if he was being frivolous when she was stressed, and being sensitive, Ken had been refraining.
"Speaking of which," he said, leaning against the counter, "There's the groomsman thing, but we were also wondering if you'd appreciate some big-event business. Cake's a necessity at weddings, I hear. But if that's okay, then let's talk about it in...a week or something. I've had enough of logistics for a while," he said, shaking his head. "Wedding planning is complicated. Even when I'm doing nothing since it's her day. But enough about me, what's going on with you? We haven't done much for a while."
[ooc: you don't actually have to reply to this or anything, since it's from like five months ago. I was just bored and felt like posting something somewhere XD]
