Artemis was a little hurt, and to be honest he was the only one that could make her feel that way. He wasn’t used to feeling anything but when she was around Theo, she felt everything. Most of all she felt her heart ache a little when he had thrown himself backwards from her. If her kissing wasn’t bad then what had happened to make him act that way? Had she said or done something to offend him? Nothing…”It certainly didn’t seem like nothing Theo…But I suppose if you don’t want to talk about it…That’s fine. Just know that I’m here when you do want to talk.” Artemis had grown up with death in her life. At first it started out as her being hurt by it, then she started to feeling resistant to it and before long she turned numb to it. After numb came enjoyment, excitement pleasure and need. She had become a snatcher for the extra money but she had to admit that she had rather enjoyed causing pain on those who thought it was a good idea to run from the dark lord. Inflicting pain and death upon people had become a way of life for Artie, it was something she looked forward to day in and day out. As long as there we clients there would be a job for Artemis. She let out a sigh when he sat back down. She took the seat next to him and ordered another drink as well. So much for kissing, that was a complete disaster.

That’s when Theo went into a sort of ramble…He was saying it wasn’t her fault. He spaced out….wait he called her amazing and he always wanted her around. She looked at him and tilted her head. “Well I’m glad it’s not me then. And you’re an amazing man as well Theo. I love spending time with you and I have missed you greatly. In fact…there is no place I’d rather be then right here, right now.” That was a bit of a life, if there was a hit she had she would be there torturing them and getting sick pleasure out of it. But maybe after she could get with Theo and release some of that inner build up. She smiled sweetly at him and took a sip of her drink that was set down in front of her. “I care about you Theo….If you ever need anything, all you have to do is ask.” She couldn’t and wouldn’t ever stop worrying about Theo. Sure, they were different ends of the spectrum but she cared about Theo, she had never stopped loving the man that sat next to her. The reason she had broke it off in school was because she was afraid…She didn’t want to get close to someone and then have them hurt her. Not in that way, heartbreak was one kind of pain that Artie didn’t enjoy. “You know I can’t stop Theo. You’re my best mate….I’ll always worry about you.” When he put his arm around her she leaned into him and rested her head upon his shoulder.

“Go home…but we’ve only been here for a few hours Theo…I can’t let you leave me yet.” She did her best pouty face before smiling at his comment. “My kiss huh? Well I suppose if you already had your head spinning it would have that opposite reaction wouldn’t it?” She smiled and lifted her head to pick up her drink and finished it off. Get out of here? Heck yes she wanted to get out of here! Well, as long as it was with Theo of course. “I would love to get out of here…we can head back to my place….or would you rather head to yours?” She offered him a cheeky grin before placing a simple, sweet kiss on his cheek and leaning back in her chair. God he was handsome, sexy, and downright lickable. She smiled and pushed her glass away from her. “Ready when you are, love.”
