"Owwwwww - whaaaaat?" Sorcha winced and then glanced down at her bare legs. She arched a brow at Torsten and disregarded his comment. Sweetheart? Cue the momentary heart ping! of confusion. And then the friendly reminder that it was just Torsten, so who cared? Shrugging off what he said she twisted her arm up into his and tugged the man inside, giving a kick at the door with her heel hearing a click! to reassure her it was closed. "Probably with all my other laundry odds and ends." She stated finally, resting her head on his shoulder as she ushered him towards her plushy, cushy couch. Giving him a light shove, she detangled herself from him and made a turn to abide by his suggestion of pants, that is until he dropped a bomb.
Jaw-flop was happening. Brows rising so far up into her bangs that it might have muted her immediate look of shock. Sorcha spun around super quickly and brushed at her hair to eye Torsten before curling up like a small kitten on the ottoman nearest him. "You screwed up already?!" Sorcha gave him a swift punch in the arm and gave an annoyed shake of her head. Running a hand through her mangled hair she let out a groan and flung her hand out to her side, disregarding the pings of discomfort it was giving her because that shit didn't matter right now. Right now Torsten was messing up his potential love-life!
"You can't have! I haven't even heard of this girl yet so you can't have ruined it that quickly..." Right?! Unless he gave her money for sex. Or money for an appearance. Or said something at the wrong time in the wrong context while the poor dear was on her damn period. Oh Merlin...
Her lips pressed themselves together at his newest revelation and her head tipped from side to side considering what he had done. "I mean... it's not a bad thing?" Convincing? Sorcha shrugged half-heartedly and fought back the bout of laughter that threatened to escaped from her lungs. Ohhhh man, this was too good. Torsten's family and this poor, mysterious girl... Sorcha bit down on the inside of her cheek. "Better get her a little tipsy first, that's probably your safest bet." Nod, nod. Wiser words were never spoken! She pulled a knee up to her chest and forced a reassuring smile.
"That just means you can't leave her alone." She had her hand held up and began ticking off outstretched fingers, "You can't let any cousins scare her," tick, "You can't let that one uncle touch her," tick, "and you're going to have to decide a label because with Sindri and Dash going splitsville and you showing up all coupled," Her eyes were on Torsten, hard, "You're gonna be a target. For couple talk. And marriage. And kids." Big families die hard in the world of dating. Could be good, could be bad. Could be really bad. Especially for a first go at something. Combined with the natural oozing sarcasm and ... everything else. Sorcha's eyes went wide and she couldn't help herself; she busted out in light laughter. "I have to see this! - Ugh!" Karma had her landing on her back on the floor, still laughing though.
