[solved] The Founders

Can some one make a claim to being decedents of relatives of the founders, not saying they are a direct line but more my great grandmother's aunt was cousin to the daughter of the brother of the husband of Rowena Ravenclaw for example?

My brain got lost somewhere in that list of relatives! Seriously though, we don't generally allow claims to be related to the Founders, simply because it would be too difficult to keep track to who is related to whom. After a thousand years, I would imagine most purebloods could track their ancestry back to one or more of the founders, so it wouldn't really be anything worth mentioning (any more than saying I'm the fourth or fifth - I can't remember which - cousin of the Welsh singer Tom Jones...and that is totally true! xD)
