[Solved] Does a well-off character require a Rich Application?
« on: May 10, 2015, 02:22:14 AM »
I want to make a character whose family was rich, but has died off and what is left of the family's wealth belongs to him. He lives very simply so the money has lasted although there is no large source of income except for any money he makes at his job. I know I have to submit an EFB for his pureblood side but do I need to submit a rich/influential app even though his family is no longer rich?

Hey!

As far as I know, it's the current familial status. You can mention their former wealth in their background story if you'd like to. I have a "well off" family but they're not necessarily considered "rich" so I didn't apply for that status.

... But yeah. If they're no longer rich, that would be a part of the background information and not the actual status you write down.

If I'm wrong, an admin can correct me.

If the character is no longer rich and influencing society, you wont have to submit a rich/influential app. However, when you submit your efb, you'll have to explain what happened to their money and how the char is maintaining what he does have. Somewhat like the explanations required for the Upper Middleclass EFBs.
