It was a relief that she was coming back, at all. She was such a beautiful, honest, and intelligent woman and he was just a man who couldn't hold her hand long enough. The way she spoke made him weak in the knees and he could feel his breath grow shallow when he smelt her perfume. She was perfect and he was a mess. Especially right now. His dragon hadn't transitioned very well over the winter months to the now almost Spring season and he thought it had gone on too long so he sent an owl to Zofia and she replied kindly. She was willing to take a look at her, and see what could be done.
Jonas had actually spent some time cleaning his home before she came. He used to live in an apartment but now he was living in a small home outside of London. It was nice to be able to stretch and do what he wanted. He could still live like a wizard, but he was close enough to muggle civilians that he could still appear as one and order their take out. Jonas had always been different than most wizards, he actually preferred muggle life to that of a wizard's. He was surely a disappointment to his family but he had always been from the start so that was nothing new.
He just didn't want to be a disappointment to the girl he had longed for for so long. He didn't even know if they were on good terms because it had been several weeks where there was no communication. Honestly, they were both up to their eyes n work and that was something that was never going to change. Jonas may have come from a wealthy, well established family but he was never going to be like his father or sisters who were more comfortable embracing their duties as high class wizards and witches.
To be fair though, Jonas had gone through a lot. With his father in and out of jail so many times after the war, and trying to hush it up so the newspapers wouldn't ruin their name. It was more than he had ever wanted, more than he could have ever hoped to handle but he handled it with grace and with dignity. His father may not be his best friend, but how many fathers are?
Right now none of that mattered but it still came to his mind often. Right now though he needed to focus on his dragon, Jelly and the woman who was now knocking on his front door. "Coming!" he said, as he dragon began to react to the tap on the wood, but only slightly since she was sick. She reminded him of one of those muggle's dogs who always went after anyone who showed up on a property.
Jonas dashed to the door and opened it, he took a look at the beauty who stood there and a smile arose on his cheeks. "Hello, how was your journey?" he asked as he lead her into his living room.
