“I’ve got the cupcakes!” Freya declared, closing the bathroom door behind her. Thankfully, these cupcakes were professionally made by her oldest brother. They were actually edible, unlike anything Freya had managed to bake. Like, ever. The blonde tossed her curls over one shoulder as she set the cupcakes down by the spabath. She’d already nicked a little low-alcoholic content champagne from her parents’ supply and poured them both a glass. This sort of girly night wasn’t something she usually did with her usual friends, but that didn’t mean she didn’t enjoy it. Somehow Freya and Jess had become quite good friends over the past year, despite the age difference.
Freya rubbed her hands together in comic glee as she surveyed the sight before her. Bathroom mirrors all fogged up; brand new tiles sparkling, huge window overlooking a nearby field. The windows were charmed, of course, to be see-through only from the inside out. Having such a huge window right next to the spabath almost felt like being outside.
For some crazy, crazy reason, her parents had decided that they needed to renovate all of the bathrooms in the house. For a building that was always intended to house upwards of seven or eight people, this meant quite a few bathrooms. Freya hadn’t had any objections, of course. She hadn’t had a chance to use the new upstairs spabath yet, but what better way to do this for the first time than to share the moment with her friend? Besides, everyone was out tonight and Freya had the house to herself. It was a rare event in the Trickett household.
Freya dropped her dressing gown quickly and dipped a toe in the spabath. It was nice and toasty.
