“Eh?”
A bright blonde head peeked from the backroom from where she’d been preparing meat for tonights stew. There was a crowd, and she saw the source of the commotion and her grip tightened on the massive knife in her hand. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she tried to reconcile what she heard with the image in front of her, and didn’t know if she was going to fuss at Mannie and throw him out the shop, or drag him inside to douse him with a calming potion until he relaxed. Either way, it’d be something.
She slowly sat the knife down, going to wash her hands before walking out of the back room, wiping her hands off on the pristine towel that hung from her side in stark contrast to the the blood stained apron that wrapped around her waist. She walked over to the taller man, grey eyes focused intently on her target. Then…
THWAPTHWAPTHWAP rang out in the suddenly quiet shop as Noemi’s tiny hand popped the back of Mannie’s head like he was a misbehaving child instead of an adult. “THIS IS A BUSINESS! YOU DON’T COME IN HERE SCREAMING LIKE YOU HAVE NO SENSE, ERMANNO!” She thwapped him one last time, staring up at him. A smile appeared across her features suddenly and she rubbed the puppies heads. “Hi pretty babies.” She then apparated them to her home, before coming back to get Mannie, roughly grabbing her cousin before apparating him and his bags to her living room.
She couldn’t help it, but her hand reached up to pop the back of his head one more time. “What this time?” She said exasperated as she headed to the kitchen and began to prepare Mannie his very politely requested items. “AND YOU KNOW WHERE THE WINE IS!”
