The edge of a full bottom lip rested beneath straight white teeth as big brown eyes stared intensely at the structure before her. The diner was basically empty except for what she assumed were regular patrons scattered here and there. She had initially come into the place to get out of the busy morning sidewalk traffic. Her neatly clipped nails adjusted a toothpick as she made a makeshift house with her breakfast food. As her head tilted the long blonde pigtails atop her head shifted with it. The Bulgarian would be lying if she said that she wasn’t still struggling. Oh, she struggled every day she walked as a free woman.
Being locked away had done something to her, yes. It did something to everyone. Took small pieces of a person that would leave them unable to be whole again. Mishka liked to think that she lost her sanity but gained her adolescence. So much of her youth had been lost to traumatic experiences and bad behavior. The blonde sat back taking a deep breath as she stared down at the plate. Her pancakes made the flooring and waffles composed the walls. The eggs, which were scrambled, made the bushes that lined the house. It was a masterpiece! She bounced a bit as she giggled, lifting a hand to pull a sucker from her right ponytail. The sweet was unwrapped as she looked around the diner once more, sighing softly as she tasted the faint watermelon flavoring.
Her brown eyes drifted towards the door before she stood to move to the counter. Her shorts came down just above her mid-thigh and she wore a blue tank top. Mishka wore sneakers on her feet and it could be assumed she had stepped in from a run. She had. Being in London for the short time she was there had given her time to clear her head. Grisha was ever busy and she found that without someone constant in her life she was lost. It felt like the dark dank nights in her cell when all she had was her thoughts to keep herself company. The running it helped, even more on the streets of London. She found this place soothing, it had after all been the first place she had set foot when she had been released.
Her body leaned against the counter as she pursed her lips, waiting to be served. Mishka looked next to her towards the window and she followed a head of red hair. Her full lips parted slightly before her focus was broken by the clearing of a throat. The small woman turned, her weight shifted on the tip of her toes as she blinked slowly “Yes, a coffee.” Her accented English caused the man to lift his brows and she grinned a wide grin as her head tilted, “Silly buttons.” She chuckled pouring salt onto the counter as she stepped to the side so someone else could step forward.
“Waffles, also.” She said suddenly in a distracted voice as her nail traced lines in the salt before her eyes lifted and she still, “Um, I apologize.” Came her soft sing-song voice as she realized she had cut someone off. She wondered faintly if it was the woman she had seen walking by the window or if this woman had been here all along and she was just not becoming aware. “I don’t mean to jump ahead.” She looked back down at her salt before looking up as her coffee was sat down. She could finish her masterpiece in a moment.
