Going from Cold to Boiling (Delaney & Jonanna]

It was when the cold crisp December air morning gave way to a light drizzle in the afternoon that the tan coated businessman looked a tad bit odd as he made his way down the narrow sidewalks in London. While most of the muggles had pulled out their umbrellas and the unlucky held newspapers above their head and turned up their jacket collars, this man seemed unfazed and his fedora remained remarkably dry. Still few noticed this and only a wizard would expect Donn to be a wizard.

Donn held a double bag containing two large cups of steaming soup in one gloved hand, while his other gloved hand carried their desserts, although he was expecting Delaney would provide something additional. He would have apparated her flat door, but he was worried it would jostle the soups too much. He was forced to treck the last few blocks by foot. It was amazing he was able to dodge almost all the puddles and the occasional splash of a muggle vehicle, for his mind was on something else.

Witches have always been witches to him. Oh, he knew he would have to woo one and settle down in seven to ten years, but for now he quite enjoyed playing the field. Dating both Half Bloods and the occasion more desirable Pureblood in small spurts. Never forming much of a permanent relationship at least nothing that lasted over a few months. Even still he had to admit, Delanely would be the perfect catch for him. She was a respectable Pureblood with a clean past and so she would be quite acceptable for him to date by both factions. Her keeping the relationship ‘light and airy’ just give Donn room for his own endeavors. One of which got him in trouble the other night, crossing over several lines and revealing one to many secrets to a Halfblood. It was something that will likely cause conflict certainly if his relationship with Delaney ever gets serious.

The Dark wizard had to pull himself out of his brooding, as he turned down the street and examine the house numbers compared to the one he memorized. He jogged up the steps to her stoup. Using his elbow he only had to knock twice before he saw movement within. Any fears or concerns of how he was going to balance this relationship with the more complicated one, flew out of his mind when the door opened and revealed his bight ball of sunshine-witch. When he saw her smile, his memories of their night in Sweden flashed into his head and he could only offer a besotted, “Hey Delaney. You look great.”

He offered a kiss on the cheek of the radiant witch, for his arms were full before she thankfully let him into her apartment. It was a relief for his spells to repel rain did not account for the cold and he was looking forward to getting warmed up again. Still it was all worth it. “Two soups with freshly baked breads and two serving of desert as requested!” he announced while lifting up the as order showing her before glancing around, “Where is your kitchen?”
