Danny grinned at Jere's offer, but shook his head. "Don't let Hattie see," he mentioned with a glance over his shoulder as if looking for the other witch in Human and Non-Human Resources who was particularly sticky about the rules. "Don't want to get another talking to about eating other people's food." He laughed at the last case before they made it to the next floor.

He stopped and pointed out several areas quickly, almost quicker than needed, smiling at the thought of confusing his new intern. The idea made him laugh, but he tried to keep it serious so as to not reveal his hand. "Level two," he said with a dramatic flourish of his hand. "We've got Auror, we've got Law Enforcement, we've got Improper Use of Magic, the ICU, and the Wizmo," he named ending with his abbreviation for the Wizengamot, pointing toward the different departments in different directions. "This is the floor with the best gym if you've got a mind to work on the guns," Danny mentioned as he curled his arm inward and made his best muscle. One could almost not see a difference between him flexing and not, but oh well.

"Oh if you see any mushrooms about, definitely don't sample," he warned, glancing at Jere with a grin as the memory came to mind. "Intoxicating Substances are no joke here. Hope you're taking notes, intern. There will be a quiz later. Any questions?" he asked and then didn't even wait before he started moving down the corridor again. "No? Good, let's keep moving. Lots of things to see."

"It's fine, she thinks I'm cute," Jeremy retorted Danny's warning about Hattie from the Muggle liaison department and her strange attachment to her food. Jeremy followed them along as they wove through the different areas of the Ministry. Some of which he didn't even know existed, he'd been working here for two years but if the packages he was delivering didn't require him to learn about floors in the ministry he absolutely didn't. Jeremy had never really been the type to figure things out just for fun, at least not at work or Hogwarts, he did what was required of him (and the bare minimum at that) and then he went home. It was a peaceful existence, not being a part of the rat race, not worried about silly things like titles and promotions. He had a full social life and a plate full of nachos waiting for his part at the flat, what did he need a raise and more responsibility for?

"Ew, gross," Jeremy said after they rounded another corner and Danny paused (for like two seconds! ha) for questions. Jeremy was feeling a bit lost, as they'd just weaved through a maze and honestly if they asked him to navigate back it would take some time to get his bearings. And besides, he was too busy looking for somewhere to spit out the bite he'd just taken of the burrito he'd assumed was beans and cheese. It wasn't.

"I think it's vegan," Jeremy said, half of the bite threatening to leak out of his mouth as he willed the bits of corn and avocado not to touch his tongue again. He found a waste bin and half ran to it before making a theatric spitting noise and getting rid of the rest of the rolled vegetable wrap of death out of his hands. Dunking it into the bin forcefully the metal waste container made a ting! sound and rolled a little on its round-edged bottom. He turned back to the others, visibly shaking at the thought of eating that many vegetables without hot cheese on them and then rejoined the group.

"Guess Hattie is on that diet again..."

Danny threw a grimace at his friend at Hattie thinking anyone was cute, but hey he was almost sure that Jeremy was into cougars anyway so he wasn't going to judge.. much... more like tease and joke, but all in good fun. But it wasn't long before Jere was regretting that choice. "Told youuuu you wouldn't like it," he called in a singsong voice as he rounded another corner, continuing the tour.

"Which one is vegan again?" he asked, half paying attention with a smile as he bumped fists with Harold who was part of the 'Orthographers Club' and was always willing to trade players with Danny. Sometime it didn't work in his favor.. well a lot of times.. but he was determined not to have the worst team in the league again and Harold knew everything about everything in Quidditch.

"Did I miss anything on this floor?" he turned to ask Jeremy, his partner in crime.

Elias hung back behind the two of them when they went into the Offices on Level Two. His brother worked there, and again he didn't want to be made fun of, especially by these two. To be fair, if he told his brother it was Willbond and Edwards, Alex would have told him not to waste his breath on these two. Yet, there was something persistent gnawing at the back of his mind, and he couldn't figure out why it was making him uncomfortable.

"Ah.." was all he could get out before they turned heel down the corridor, so he followed behind, glancing every so often at the faces passing and nodding politely at them. He'd been sure they'd been walking for more than hour, traversing across the floors, yet when he looked at his watch, it'd been maybe twenty minutes or so. It was mentally exhausting to be with them and not let his first instinct be to send them through the ceiling of the owlery later.

"I don't suppose we'll be going to the Department of Mysteries, then, being a restricted area and all?" he wasn't actually sure how maintenance was handled down there due to it being such a top secret branch of the Ministry. He was more hoping he wouldn't have to run into his father who ran the archives. "Whats a vegan?" perhaps it was a muggle thing he was unaware of, his parents being in the magical world more than the muggle one kind of left him uneducated in some aspects of the dispelled world. He didn't expect either one to give a straight-forward answer, but was desperate not to look like a depressed, scowling lout all hour.

So we can take the world back from the heart-attacked, one maniac at a time we will take it back

"Don't think so," Jeremy replied as he shot Harold a threatening glance, okay, well as threatening as puppy dog Jeremy Edwards was capable of. Harold had backed out of trade last season and Jeremy wasn't going to forgive him for it until he made things right. Turning back to the conversation Jeremy shrugged at Elias' suggestion of the Department of Mysteries.

"Nah, we don't go down there," He said softly, not that he hadn't tried once or twice when he'd first started. Dangerous curiosity had led to him accidentally walking through a doorway he wasn't supposed to and losing all of his hair for a few days, he'd grown a killer beard, having aged years in minutes, but that was beside the point. A department employee had set him right with a few less than comfortable spells and Jeremy had learned his lesson. Well, about as much as trouble maker Jeremy Edwards was capable of, hah.

"A vegan is," Well... Jeremy wasn't entirely sure what the definition was, but that had never stopped him before. "A witch that doesn't like food that tastes good, pretty sure they have no taste buds at all actually. They are always eating these weird little colorless chunks of something.." Jeremy racked his brain for the word tofu but it didn't come.

Danny nodded resolutely in agreement with Jere on the D. of Mysteries. That was a no go zone for him and they suspiciously never got any mail anyway. He had always wondered if it was funneled through some other secret means, maybe it was too high level even for them.

He waved his arm toward the lift and gave a shrug and a 'who knows' look at the vegan talk. Honestly, he had no clue. He usually asked Greg when it came to questions like this if he was around and usually his answers went in one ear and out the other anyway. He didn't exactly retain that information when there was much more important things to memorize like Twinnings offensive stats or Puddlemere's goals against average.

Danny stepped into the lift and started blabbing on about the next level, his tour probably confusing and highlighting all the things his boss would probably never want him mentioning, but it was the only way he knew.

Jeremy followed Danny toward the lift and wondered how many more stops they had on this little journey. He had a whole cart worth of mail to deliver before the end of the day, not that he was particularly concerned about it, but he was starting to get a little hungry. The stolen burrito wasn't quite nearly enough, and Jeremy was rubbing at his stomach, thinking about it. He could swing through the cafeteria and grab something on his way back to the mailroom. Maybe he would get lucky, and there would be some pudding leftover.

"Alrighty..." He began, looking around slowly but not really needing to make up any kind of excuse. "This is my stop, gonna' snatch some pudding from the cafe before Marget from accounting eats all of it again." He blamed Margaret, which wasn't entirely true, but the rest of his statement was sincere. Jeremy often stopped for snacks, even when it wasn't his lunch hour. It was a wonder he hadn't been fired yet, but the day wasn't over. The redhead, giving them both a wave, disappeared down the next hall, and half jogged, half tripped, toward the cafe.
