Shelby pointed again, trying to trace out the constellation with her finger. "Can't you see it? There's the first boy, kind of like a stick figure, and the other one next to him." She rolled her head, looking across at the other girl on the blanket. "It's Gemini! The twins!" She wish she had her wand - Ingvar had taught her a trick with the Lumos spell where you could direct a small beam or dot of red light, and use it to direct people's attention.
"Their names are Castor and Pollux - they were twins but Pollux was immortal and Castor wasn't." Shelby shifted slightly - lying on the ground on a blanket was a romantic idea, but this blanket was kind of thin and this little bit of ground was kind of bumpy. But it was the best view of the sky on the campgrounds, right at the foot of the mountain, and it was a clear night, and Teddy said they could go stargazing, so Shelby shouldn't complain too much.
Patty didn't know as much about constellations - even after a year of Astrology classes, they had really focused on planetary transits and not constellations, and certainly not the stories. Shelby liked Patty, Patty liked animals just like her and her positive energy was contagious. Shelby found herself so full of doubt around some of her other friends, but not around Patty.
Shelby sat up, reaching for one of the two enchanted travel mugs of hot chocolate she had brought with them. It got a little chilly at night here - it was nice to have a warm drink. There were extra blankets next to Patty, but Shelby wasn't quite that cold yet. "They were also related to Helen of Troy, you know." She was staring at the sky, trying to find the other constellation that fit this myth. "Their dad was Zeus, but he was a swan at the time, so they all hatched from eggs." She looked over at Patty, trying to gauge her interest.
