"Sucks to be you," he said without thinking, before his gaze slid to her and he gave her a small, apologetic smile. "I'll send a memo off to Corner to get it fixed for you," Danny added. Although, why he hadn't fixed it by now was beyond him. It was only raining, shouldn't that be pretty simple to fix-er-up? Then again, there was a pretty good reason why Danny had never strayed too close to getting a promotion within his own department and he knew Charms weren't exactly his forte, but still Corner was a smart guy. How hard could it be.
But, he was easily distracted by the photos she was describing and he could see the gore and blood even from this distance. It made his stomach turn and he glanced at Azalea. She was pretty, but he guessed she might have to have at least one or two gobstones loose to want to do this kind of job day in and day out. "Looks.. interesting," he said tentatively before he heard his squeaky wheeled cart rolling towards him.
His packages were soaked through, but he wasn't concerned. He gave her a shrug. "I've delivered worse, most are charmed so that the insides don't get soaked," he said before he took a glance at the rain again. "It really is annoying, isn't it," he said, taking a step closer, standing in the doorway and palming his wand, twirling it between his fingers, dropping it accidentally, and then bending to pick it over before he glanced at her.
"You know what, I'll fix it, no need to wait for Corner." Great last words before he pointed his wand at the ceiling and was promptly blasted off his feet, flying back towards his cart as his wand backfired. He landed half over his toppled cart, packages spilled to the floor, his vision dizzy as he stared up at the ceiling, confused. "What the..."
That didn't usually happen when Michael fixed up things.
