Multichars in same thread?

I've just been looking around the rules and I haven't found one on the subject I was wondering about. Is it permissible for two of your own played characters to interact with one another in the same thread?

We do generally discourage it if your two characters are only interacting with each other.  If it was a thread with other people then that sometimes will work, but if it is just yourself then no.  It is one of the reasons that people usually try to find others to adopt their family members!

Dermod and Cliona are generally the worst offenders for appearing the same threads I think, but they don't actually interact as such. As you've probably noticed Cliona spends most of her time off in her own world, and Dermod generally ignores her, so they're both *there*, but they don't really react to each other.

As for classes, that works fine, as long as you're not answering your own questions with the *sole* purpose of getting house points!

I didn't realize it was discouraged for family members to be played by the same person D: My mistake. Well I assume that I can just have Cam and Patrick be not feuding and explain why one is always absent that way.

Oh, its not actually discouraged - more that people prefer not to do it, so don't worry that you did anything wrong! As well as Dermod and Cliona, Morrigan plays all three Costello/Moriarty siblings, and I'm sure there are other examples that I'm not thinking of as well just now. Its only if you tried to have a two-handed thread and answer yourself that we would say something!

and I've had threads with multiple chars in (Dieter and Pike, Dieter and Corvus... erm.. sure there was another...) which weren't classes/school things (those things included I've had orion, millicent, emily and alvin all in one thread before XDD that was exhausting). It'd just be sad if you were only playing by yourself.

Personally I like to see how my characters react to each other ic though. I can't wait for moira and dieter to be in the same thread XDD
