[solved] Family and stuff

Hi, I want my character to have some family and stuff, and was curious where I find this out at? So my character is more family, and not just.... me.

Well mostly I think that you just have to make the family up. For example: With the parents, you make them up in your sheet and create a background story for them also. However, you can get connections from other members of MH so that your families can be connected in some way or another. Your character is who you make them, including family ^^

That's what I'm not clear about. The connections to other people.

Basically, if someone offers a connection, it means that you can link the family line with theirs.

For example:
If I had a character (called Bob Robinson), I could connect them with another family line (let's say Julia Noels).
they could be cousins or step-brother & sister, etc.

Another example:
If someone is willing, you can be in the same line as their family.
Your char could be Bob Robinson, and someone could offer you Beth Robinson and they are 'connected' as family.

does that make sense?

Connections themselves are just the way that your character is linked to another character.

Everything that Mike has said is right! If you want played family characters, the best way to go about it would probably be to adopt an existing char's brother or sister or connect your family with an existing one (a lot of the time people are pretty lenient in terms of personality/looks etc of the adoptable character).

A good way to find characters that are adoptable or families that are connectable is to have a look through people's Sandboxes (any with the tag 'Adoptions' or something similar will have adoptable characters in there) or create your own sandbox and include in the title something like 'looking to adopt' or 'looking to adopt a 15yo Gryffindor girl' etc. If you stumble across something you like, pm the person who created it.

If you don't want to adopt a char, you can say something like 'need family connections'.
