Rhys had just gotten off of work and was thoroughly exhausted. He hadn't realized how hard the working life would be, and in fact he found himself taking his days at Hogwarts for granted. By the time he had finished his shift at the Ministry, the sun had gone down and most of the shops nearby had closed. His stomach started growling and he didn't know if he could survive the trip home on an empty stomach.
When he had started work at the Ministry, it hadn't occurred to him that living in Wales and working in England would be difficult. In fact, he had counted on being able to apparate home, or even Floo, but the Ministry hadn't changed its protocols and neither were allowed at the moment. He had thought about apparating once he left the Ministry, but by that time he was grumpy and hungry and the thought had escaped his mind. He'd decided he would just find a nice park bench and spend the night there; hopefully he wouldn't be mugged in the process.
As he walked down the sidewalk, another thought occurred to him. Jane lived in London.... Wandsworth, he thought, unless she'd moved and neglected to tell him. But, he hadn't the slightest clue where Wandsworth was and quite frankly, he didn't know if he could handle the walk there. Trudging down the sidewalk with a scowl on his face, he noticed a particularly angry looking muggle walking towards him, and he quickly stuck his right hand in his pocket to grab his wand. As the man approached, Rhys kept his head down and avoided all eye contact. Luckily the muggle didn't acknowledge him, and within a few minutes Rhys spotted another muggle - a woman, a good looking one at that. "Hey, can you tell me how to get to Wandsworth. Is it far from here?"
As the woman began to give him directions, Rhys breathed a sigh of relief upon realizing that Wandsworth wasn't that far. It was only a few more blocks and surely there Rhys would be able to figure it out. Parting from the woman, he quickened his pace and once he'd arrived in Wandsworth, he pulled out his wallet and looked for the paper with Jane's address. Once he found it, he looked for the place and eventually found himself standing just outside her door. He was going to be really pissed if she wasn't there. Putting his wallet back in his pants, he knocked on the door and hoped for the best.
