Once his eyes had adjusted to the darkness inside the tent, he could see the man, or the healer, rather much more clearly. As he listened to the other wizards explanation, he nodded, and his ears picked up on the rare French word, that was something a little different, but it was welcome nonetheless. Luuk was still picking up on Romanian, so any chance to speak French or, of course Dutch was a welcome one. Luuk couldn't help but wince a little as the healer extended his arm, pulling on the burnt skin as it moved with the rest of his limb. Burns were something he was going to have to get used to if he wanted to continue on the reserve, and the man knew that. It didn't do much to lessen the stupidity he felt at getting burned in the first place or the determination to keep on going. Although he was in a bit of pain, Luuk couldn't help but crack a small smile at the older man's quip, it wasn't hilarious, but he had to give him some credit.
He was in pain, but it wasn't unbearable by any means. Luuk had come to the healer to get it tended to, knowing that he would be the one to be able to give him what he needed to help the tender skin heal faster than it would have on its own. Not to mention, with it being his first burn, Luuk had wanted to make sure that it was as mild as it looked, rather than leaving something worse that needed attending to chance. Taking a breath, Luuk watched as the healer made his way about the tent, grabbing a few items here and there, not rushing. The Belle couldn't help wonder if some of that was for his benefit, and he supposed if it was, he appreciated it.
When he started to explain what everything was, Luuk listened intently, not being able to remember if he'd heard of Comfrey extract before that. The rest of what he was telling him made sense, though, and Luuk nodded to let him know he understood. Holding the towel as he was instructed, Luuk let himself half fall, half sit in the offered chair. It was probably the first time he'd gotten to sit down all day, at least as far as he could tell. Glancing over at the healer Luuk returned the smile with one of his own, before he turned his attention to what the man was saying. Nodding again, Luuk spoke “Nice to meet you, Monsieur Boucher. Although I think I'll call you Zach instead. I'm Luuk, Luuk Groendendijk, by the way.” Having just graduated from Beauxbatons, Luuk was still getting over the habit of addressing anyone older than him, or anyone who held authority over him, formally at all times. Some habits really did die hard. Luuk laughed and smiled sheepishly at the man's next question “ That easy to tell, huh?” He laughed “But, yes. It's my first summer here. I recently graduated from Beauxbatons.” While he sat with Zach, Luuk couldn't help wonder when the newness would start to fade, and begin to be replaced by some experience, he supposed only time would really tell.
