[solved] Plague Plot

So I see references of this in people's sheets but what transpired? Did the plague only affect certain types of wizards? Was it curable for people who'd contracted it? I'm looking about the boards to use for my character's history to explain why she's a year (maybe two) behind, but I reckon all threads revolving this plot have been purged.

It was a board-wide thing that happened in November playtime last year

It began at a Ball that was held at Hogwarts. Lots of people sick at the Hospital. I think it was a month or two before there were any cures because the sickness had been created by an ex death eater killing himself and getting back at the world kind of thing.

So it affected people's magic and so on. And anyone there could have potentially gotten it. There were quite a few deaths, but mostly people were just sick for a long time before getting better and the symptoms varied a little between patients.

Okay, there was the Victory ball at Hogwarts last...December playtime, I think (Dec 1998,, that would have been). There was a mad wizard [post 48 & 52] who was already sick and went along and infected a LOT of people; some within minutes of contact [post 56]. Elementals were immune; others were affected differently. A few characters actually died; those who were seriously ill lost control of their magic for a time (Sam Dickinson still can't apparate as a result), especially if they didn't get to a healer quickly.

There is more; but I have to run out now, but hopefully it's a start?
