[Solved] More of an idea then a question

Okay so I'm a nerd, I was just watching prisoner of Azkabhan and I had a thought, would it be possible for Hogwarts to have a choir? Like a student choir...would there be any interest in it? I have a couple of characters as shameful as they feel for it that they might join it.....

I think has been brought up before and it was more of a playability thing as to why it was never constructed. Other than mentioning choir practice or being nervous, or maybe creating a certain circle of friends, it would be hard to really roleplay singing.

Ah well right, but like what if we acted it out like any other class. Where students could interact and sing together. It'd be a way that more people who wouldn't normally meet, a chance to get to know each other through this class. Even if we had like a "concert" where they had one in front of like students or even preformed in Diagon alley or something. We could act out like the before and afters of the concert or something. I dun know it's something we could look into and something else, like dueling club or quidditch for students to get involved in.

Of course it could be something that is mentioned in sheets or something that the character does, but as far as play-ability it is not really an easy thing to do.  Maybe some threads about practice and such would work, but not a while lot of actual singing is easy to do.

Well I figured that much, but what if like someone was in charge of it, you could even have like I dun know, leaders of the choir like a student director or something. Is it possible to make a group for it or something? I could just be talking out my arse too I just thought it would be something fun to add to the site. We could rp the idea of nerves when it came to solos or the competition for the roles of Student directors and such. the "actual" singing wouldn't even really play a huge part it in all. Maybe just more of a social event. If it's not possible I understand. I just thought it would be interesting to have it an option on the site. 

Yeah I can see that...but like in glee (the show) they have like social interactions and such. I du know if there would interest but maybe it could work out, like I said, maybe people meeting who hadn't met before or who wouldn't normally meet then they could like interact outside of choir practice. That way there is more opportunity for students to meet and more thread options. I could post a group shipper and see if there is interest...I'm not saying it will be like SUPER DUPER active or anything but it would give the students the oportunity to know it's like to be a bit of leader. you know for the kids who dont 'make the quidditch team/Captain or aren't the prefect or head boy. I don't know if there would be a professor interested in being the actual director either....so I don't know maybe it won't work....

I think we're concerned with a lack of interest/playability for actual club interactions. That being said, feel free to poke around for interest. It could always be student lead. If you get enough people, then of course you could start something up.

Why not some kind of amateur dramatics society rather than a choir. Then you can do all the staging and choreography and sfx with magic and stuff. (I have many many ideas about this, but am too lazy to actually organise anything!) We know from Tales of Beedle the Bard that such things had been done at Hogwarts in the past. You'd still get a mixture of people that wouldn't normally socialise thrown together, but then they can actually put on a show if there was enough interest?

You're a genius!!! We could always have it a musical too if need be. I didn't think about a drama club! I could help you organize it if you don't want to. We could work together and figure somethings out like, positions, where, who when, Type of things. We could perk to the interests of people!!! I Mean I'm pretty good at working on stuff. but.....I can't go it alone. ^_^

And this would be a nice IC tie-in with my obsession over actually producing an MH musical

I'm sure we could still work it out. I have kids, and you have ideas!!!!

• Sonorus instead of microphones


• Wingardium leviosa instead of a flying rig


• Illusions for sets


• A corps de ballet that all take polyjuice so they look and move EXACTLY the same


• Swan lake staged with an animaga
