{Paris}I think I lost my way [Terrance]

Genevieve had been out shopping all day. She knew she needed to pick up food and perhaps maybe get a few things for herself as well. She had a few bags in her hands as she made her way down the busy sidewalk of Paris. Her flat was near downtown, above some tourist trap that claimed to have 'authentic' French Cuisine. Although, Gen knew, anyone who had to say they had the authentic stuff, wasn't really all that great of a place to eat. She heard several people complain about it as they walked out of the place. She just politely smiled and walked up her stairs to her studio apartment. Her mother had paid for the apartment when she told her she was going to be attending a college to further her education as a healer. Her parents were paying rent for it up until a few months ago when Gen told them that she needed to start paying for it herself. She had to grow up and learn how to be an adult and what better way then to take on her responsibilities. So her parents stepped back and she had been paying for it ever since.

Her small, delicate hands gripped the bags around the handle and a few she clutched close to her chest. She held on tight to keep the wind from taking them from her grip or someone walking down the street. She was bumped into several times as she walked down the path to her apartment. She didn't want to buy a car, normally she traveled by of floo or apparated but when she was traveling the muggle world, that wasn't an option. So here she gripped them and walked. She rounded on of the corners and smiled as some people greeted her with a nice hello. She was only a few blocks from her apartment when a man collided with her sending her bags flying through the air. Exactly what she didn't want to happen. She cried out as she was thrown backwards a bit and landed on her tush. She bit down on her lip and looked towards the man who just laughed and kept right on walking. "Thanks for the help!!" She said sarcastically before getting on her hands and knees to gather up her things.

One of the bags tore and of course it was the bag that held her lady things. Her new underwear was scattered all over the side walk and she shook her head as she hastily grabbed at them.  How embarrassing, her under things were being shown off to the world! It was that rude mans fault and now she was the one paying the price for his rude behavior. She stuffed the ones that she could find into a bag and then gathered up her food items. Although the glass milk bottle was a lost cause. It had shattered when it hit the pavement. She leaned back on her feet and looked down at her items before letting out a deep sigh. It was then she saw a shadow hovering over her. She lifted her eyes to see who it was that was standing over her. She really hoped it wasn't someone that had decided it was a good idea to make of her situation. If it had been she was liable to go off on them. She was already in a horrible mood now. She pressed the lady lacey things deeper into her bag as a slight blush reached her cheeks. She hoped they hadn't seen that....But there was a pair missing that she had to find.

It was time to go home, to face the things he had been running from. Strangely he knew that going back was the only thing acceptable at this point. He didn't feel like going back to the flat to see Jessica because she was a bit grumpy as of late. He knew that maybe on a level it had everything to do with how he had been treating her as of late, but honestly he didn't give a damn. They weren't what one would call a true couple. Yes, they went out and they had sex. But there was no commitment as she had destroyed that with her cheating early on. As he walked down the street his hand found its way into the pocket of his grey dress pants before blue eyes rose to look out before him. The last thing he wanted was to bump into someone. His main concern was if he would have to see Farren right away or if he could get by without doing so for a few days. As much as he wanted to be in her presence it made him wonder if it would make his situation worse. If seeing her would make his realization that much more apparent now that he had stopped fighting the facts. Oh he wondered a lot since he had actually started to think about things.

Pausing; he leaned against a tree as he pulled his hands from his pocket to light a much needed cigarette. As he drew through the filter his body relaxed instantly. His mind seemed to clear as well, allowing him to order his thoughts perfectly. He knew he would avoid her for a bit of time because it had been far too long since he had seen her. He had left her without word after a night of drinking had turned into something he was not capable at the time of handling. He knew that he wrath from that would be a lot to deal with. As his right hand rose to pull the cigarette from his mouth a flash of red caught his eye. Blue eyes rose to watch her as she walked towards him. Instantly he wondered if the red was natural and was more inclined to find out himself. Curiosity was a killer he had been told, but it in case it was a nice game of cat and mouse. Pushing off the tree he dropped the rest of his cigarette on the ground and stepped on it to put it out.

Before he could move to approach her he watched her bag fall to the pavement and frowned slightly at the rudeness of the man that had caused it to happen. With a shake of his head he took a few steps towards her before kneeling to grab a pair of lacy underwear from the ground near his feet. His eyes stayed on her as he did so, watching her gather the things that had scattered around her like more underwear. He came to a stop next to her, holding out his hand to help her from the ground. "Are you okay...? Here...I..well.." He held out the woman's underwear for her to take. "You seemed to have let these get away from you." With that he gave her a slight smile. "I didn't loo I promise...I won't look now.." He lifted his free hand to covered his closed eyes just to be sure he didn't look at the underwear she had taken from him. He smiled softly before speaking again. "Can I open my eyes now?" He brought his hand to hold it out for her to shake. "I'm Terrence...I figure its the least I could offer you after handing you your own underwear."

Gen was so frustrated. Why did these sorts of things always happen to her. She was knocked down by a bike the other day on her way to the cafe and now some jerk pushed passed her and knocked her bags from her hands. It wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't have been the new panties she had decided to buy. But because it was, she was already red in the face. Things weren't going well for her today and she just wanted to get inside her flat and hide for the rest of the day. She gathered up her things and was almost ready to say forget the last pair of underwear when a man approached her. His eyes were locked with hers and she recomposed herself. She smoothed out the hand that was on top of her head and bit down on her lip. She really hoped he wasn't one those guys that would rub it in her face. Or make it completely awkward. She was already a fairly shy girl and she didn't want it to get worse when he made some rude comment. She took in a deep breath and prepared herself for what was to come.

After he helped her to her feet she smiled weakly. "Thank you..." She nodded slowly before letting her lip go from her teeth. "Yes, I'm fine..I just wish people were a little more careful or even compassionate. What I mean is, when he saw that he knocked me down, he could have stopped to help." She shrugged her shoulders and looked down at the bags in her hands. He then offered the last pair of underwear. "Yes, it appears that they did..." She gently took the pair of panties from his hand and stuffed them into the bag. Well at least he didn't make fun of her or make a crude joke. She did appreciate that much of it. She let out a small laugh and nodded before speaking again. "Yes, they are put away...thank you." He was a bit of a gentleman in fact and that was nice and refreshing. She smiled at him and she took his hand and shook it gently. "It's a pleasure to meet you Terrence. I am Geneviève." She smiled at his small joke and nodded. "I suppose so...and for being so kind about it...I can offer you some tea. Maybe some coffee? My residence is just...." She turned and waved her hand at the door to her apartment. "there." She licked her lips and looked back at him with a smile.
