All Alicia heard when she stepped out of the shower was excited barking. Grey-green eyes narrowed thoughtfully, but she passed off Ripley's barking as him finding a toy. Her dog was excitable, and sometimes found himself excited by nothing. Wrapping a fluffy towel around herself, she tip toed to her bedroom ready to get dressed for bed. It wasn't too late, probably just past 11, but other than watch a movie, Alicia didn't have much to do. She was going to twine herself in her fluffy comforter, and squish her dog for the rest of the night.

Wiggling into her pajamas, which consisted of spandex shorts and a tank top, she began to make her bed. When she'd left for the morning, it'd been fine. Perfectly made up, and everything. After a long day of work, in which she'd been chosen to fly for the English team for the Christmas game instead of the Welsh, she'd come back to find her big black lab twined in her sheets. He'd managed to tuck himself in, and instead of getting mad like she'd wanted to, she just kicked him out the bed. Stupid, silly dog. He acted more like a person than a dog sometimes, and he was ridiculously smart. Except for his klepto antics. The things he'd stolen and hoarded were ridiculous. She loved him all the same.

When she was dressed, she went to go check on Ripley and stared from the doorway. The fire, which had been nonexistent, was blazing and green. Ripley's nose was in it, and he was furiously licking someone. "Rip!" She snapped, and the dog sat immediately, looking supremely satisfied with with himself. She padded over to the fire, and bent down. Then sat down. And stared. "Um. Hi." She reached up to push a wavy piece of hair out of her face, and blushed furiously. It was almost instantaneous the way her face went from calm to deeply flushed, and she thanked the floo for being green and making it not so obvious. This was much better than crawling into bed.

She wanted to go run and change, but Leifr was peering at her, and it was too late. It'd been a couple of days, maybe weeks since she'd embarrassed herself so badly in front of him. Every time she thought back on that day, she proceeded to bang her head against the nearest wall. Alicia had been so forward. It'd been unlike her, and she didn't know why she'd done it. She'd successfully gotten Leifr's attention, which she supposed was good. No. Scratch that. It was definitely good. A stupid, ditzy finger twirled a strand of hair around itself as she stared at him. "Hey!" She began, chirping brightly. "...How've you been...?" She almost opened her mouth and started a full conversation, but then thought less of it and scooted back a few feet. "Wait, scratch that and come through. Floos open~." She grabbed Ripley's collar as the dog seemed to try to almost fly forward.

"He's just excited, he doesn't bite...Ripley, calm down!" She pressed the wiggling dog closer to her, laughing.

Leifr had gone out with his brothers, and it had been a great time. It always was. They probably caused and got into more trouble than they all should have considering how old they each were now, but they were good at finding trouble and having a good time, and the wizard couldn’t really say he’d have it any other way. His brothers were a lot like his best mates, and a good night out with friends could never be beaten in his book. They’d had to call it an early night, because Tor had a press conference in the morning and needed to look ‘pretty’. They’d given him a good amount of shit for that, before finally letting him off the hook and calling it a night. They’d all gotten quite drunk, and Leifr thought he was managing to handle himself quite well considering he wasn’t so sure he was seeing as straight as he thought he was.

It had also seemed like a really good time to floo over and surprise Geri or Lyall or someone, but the problem was, being as drunk as he was, Leifr couldn’t remember which floo to use. That should have probably been a sign to the twenty five year old that flooing of any kind was a bad idea, but instead his mind decided that the smartest course of action to take would to be floo someone who had written down their floo for him. And there was really only one person who had done that for him recently. Alicia. After a few moments of drunkenly riffling through the various piles of paper around his flat, the wizard held up the napkin triumphantly, a stupid little grin on his face. After making sure he did actually have the right napkin, the ex-Gryffindor made his way over to his fireplace, and called out the address Alicia had written on the napkin.

Instead of finding Alicia or an empty apartment, or something else representative of a late night visit, Leifr found himself face to face with a large black furry face, and it was barking loudly and licking him a lot. Caught between surprise and laughter, Leifr sat in the green flames, wondering where he might have ended up on accident instead of Alicia’s. Between laughing and doing his best to shove the boisterous beast off of him, Leifr was just about to give up and call it a failed attempt to visit, a voice called the thing with the slobbery tongue off of him. Ah! It was Alicia, good, he hadn’t been wrong. That bit of information was a supreme victory for his drunk mind. Blinking up at her with wide, probably slightly bloodshot eyes, Leifr grinned, completely oblivious to any embarrassment or uncomfortableness on her part “Mm...Hi”. He was somewhat glad she could only see his face, because he was a little more wobbly than he thought he had been a few minuets ago.

Just when he was getting ready to answer her questions Leifr found himself being invited in. Blinking in slight surprise, the wizard came all the way through the green flames, wobbling and swaying ever so slightly as he steadied himself. Smiling brightly, and feeling no pain, Leifr chuckled as he took in the full form of the thing that had been assaulting him with kisses. A big black Lab. Much less confusing now that he could tell what it was. Stuffing his hands into his pockets the man shifted his weight back and fourth a few times before realizing he should probably say something “Thanks for inviting me in....” A pause as his brain struggled to make something out of the fuzziness that had taken over “I noticed he doesn’t bite, likes to lick a lot though...”  Another brief pause “I’ve been good, how about you?” As he watched the witch try to restrain the black beast, he found her laugher contagious, and it wasn’t long before he was laughing softly along with her. So maybe this hadn’t been such a bad idea after all...

Well. This was a novel experience. Lips curled into an almost evil smile as she watched Leifr wobble out of the flames. It was fate, or something quite like it. The last time she'd seen him, she'd only been half as drunk. This was even better. As he wobbled, she giggled softly. Wasted. Destroyed. He was at that pleasant place of intoxicated where everything was good, and she was quite jealous. She'd never been drunk called before, and wasn't quite sure what to do about it. Was it flattering? Sort of. It kind of amused her that'd he'd wait til he was drunk to floo her, but it didn't bother her. He looked...nice. She looked him up and down head tilted, ignoring the silence. Much could be tolerated of those attractive drunk guys, provided that they didn't take advantage. Leifr wasn't one of the guys she saw in the club, he was her friend so she doubted that that'd be a problem.

"I thought being outside of the fire would be better." She brushed off his thanks, hand clutching Ripley's collar tighter. He was vibrating with excitement, and she was pretty sure that if she let him go, drunk Leifr would be meeting her carpet pretty soon. One foot blocked Ripley's escape, and she lifted it slightly. He loved new people, and wanted to play all the time, no matter the time. As if he knew the conversation was directed towards him, Ripley began to whine, looking as pitiful as possible. "Ripley. Hush." She said, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, that's him. He's a shitty guard dog for the most part. He'd rather lick someone to death than anything."

How'd she been? "Bored." She remarked flatly. "The Quid season is over for a bit, and all I've been doing is promo work. I'm glad you're here. I kind of missed you." Greeninsh eyes crinkled a bit in a broad smile, and she turned abruptly when she felt a huge yank. Ripley planted his feet on the ground, and she stared at him. "Rip." No movement in her direction, and his tail was wagging madly as he stared at Leifr. She bent forward and looked him in the eyes. "Ripley, calm down." With a whine, he wiggled out of her hands and began to crawl on his belly towards Leifr, begging for attention. "Whatever, dog. He's a little cuddly right now. Don't mind him." She directed towards her guest, before clapping her hands together lightly.

"You'll want the couch so you wont topple over, I'll bet." She pointed towards the battered but cushy leather couch. It was the only dark thing in her light and airy flat, and she wouldn't give it up for the world. "And I'm supposing you want something to drink? I have water, and juices, and such...if you want more liquor, you're not flooing anywhere though." She stared at him, pretty insistent on that last point. Who knew where he'd turn up if he did? Even if he had to sleep at her house, she was pretty sure she could battle her blushing enough to allow it. Alicia looked at the dog who'd pressed himself up against Leifr's leg and rolled her eyes. "Traitor." She couldn't blame him. She'd do the same if she was brave enough.  Alicia just grinned at the silly smile on Leifr's face, more amused than anything.

"Make yourself at home."

Nodding silently, Leifr agreed with her point about being outside of the fireplace being better than in. He was quite glad he had the mantle for some extra support as he adjusted to his feet again. He’d been watching her as she spoke, but his attention was quickly drawn to the black beast at her feet again. Leifr’d never seen a dog so excited to meet a stranger before, but he liked dogs anyway, so the over enthusiastic greeting didn’t put him off. Grinning he nodded again, when she mentioned how poor of a guard dog Ripley, was it? Would be “But at least he’s loud and big, right?” That had to be worth something.

Bored. He knew what it was like to be bored. He usually was when he wasn’t busy doing something to keep his mind occupied. The wizard knew he was restless, and that it didn’t take much to bring it about, but he couldn’t help that he preferred being active over not. He’d been so caught up in his own fuzzy train of thought that he’d almost managed to miss the last bit of what she’d said. But she’d missed him? Hmm. The ex-Gryffindor wasn’t used to that, not when it was coming from someone like Alicia. Flashing her a smile he chuckled. Had he missed her? He supposed so “I missed you too. Something about the Pub’s not the same without you” He finished shrugging. Leifr wasn’t huge on feelings or talking about them, but he figured since she’d gone out on a limb, it was his turn to do the same.

It was kind of irritating, he thought to himself, how things seemed to flit by without really sticking in his memory when he’d had this much to drink. Because one minuet he’d been thinking about Alicia, and how he had actually kind of missed her, and the next he found a black thing pressing itself up against his leg. Ripley. Grinning softly the wizard looked down at the dog at his feet, and gave him a little scratch behind the ears as he spoke “ He’s alright. I suppose it’s better that he likes me, considering he could hurt me if he didn’t or if you didn’t anyway.” Not that her having a friendly dog versus as suspicious dog would change his behavior any, but it was nice all the same.

Him? Topple over? No way. He knew he was drunk and wobbly, but he’s also been much more drunk than he was at that moment many a time before, he could make it from the mantle to the couch, he was sure of that. Giving her a look, Leifr scoffed softly “I’m not gonna fall over...I’ll make it that far. I’ve lots of practice.” With that he gave Ripley one final scratch behind the ears before successfully wobbling his way over to the couch, and sinking into it. It was a good couch. Nice and soft and cushy. Turning his attention back to her the wizard shrugged. He could drink anything she gave him, and he didn’t really know exactly what he wanted “Surprise me?” He wondered if she’d still make him choose, or if she would actually surprise him with something. But then he had a thought “If it’s going to be alcohol, I’ll only drink it if you have a drink with me” He called after her.

He was trouble, and he knew it, snickering to himself softly, the wizard wondered if Alicia would take the bait. Not that he really needed any more liquor himself, but where was the fun in being responsible? He was drunk after all. While he waited, the man let his hand absently find Ripley’s ears and continued to scratch them.

"Big and loud until somebody hits that sweet spot behind his ear. He does this little tap dance on his back feet, then falls on the floor and begs for belly rubs." Ripley was a spoiled creature, and his excitement was almost tangible. Maybe he was feeding off Alicia's nervousness from having Leifr, in her house. It seemed smaller than usual, like there was no where to because he surrounded her. She was pretty sure she was a horrible lion, but he made her antsy. She rubbed her hands together, refraining from rubbing her cheeks.

He admitted to missing her? Oh boy. Her cheeks were red, super bright and she wanted to hide her face. It wasn't like she was thinking too deeply into it, but there was something special about a guy she had a huge thing for saying he missed her, whether it was serious or not. "Of course the pub isn't the same with out me." She laughed, shaking her head. "Remember that wit and sparkling personality that I have." Winking at him, she watched Ripley beg for attention. Such a little puppy whore.

"...Now you've done it. He's going to follow you around. And I doubt he can hurt a fly. I got him from the shelter, and violence kind of scares my little buddy." She smiled softly, before watching Leifr walk over to the couch, rolling her eyes at his look. It wasn't as if he was wobbling enough to topple over, and she'd laugh if he did. Men were so funky about things like that. He was wasted, but on no, he didn't want any help. She laughed softly, walking over to the bar. "You have a lot of practice being drunk, Leifr? You never invite me!"

She'd like to go out with him sometime. Maybe alone, maybe with friends. But outside of the pub at least, where she could flirt with him and not worry about customers staring at her while she stared at his arse. Maybe snog in a dark corner or something. If wishes were fishes...Her fingers tapped on the tops of the drink drinks and she pulled up the whiskey, pouring two glasses before walking over to him. She curled next to him, thigh brushing against his thigh.

Holding out the drink, she wiggled it at him gently. "Whiskey?"

As he listened to the witch describe Ripley’s antics, Leofr couldn’t help but laugh again. What kind of dog was he? The wizard had met plenty of friendly, silly dogs, but Ripley was taking the cake by far. But it made it that much easier to decide that he liked the giant black lab. He was goofy, and sweet, and obviously very well loved. Grinning again, he eyed he as he spoke “I’ll keep that in mind, if he ever decides I’ve done you wrong...” He was teasing of course, but all the same, it was nice to know how one might go about calming an easily excitable thing like Ripley.

Wit and sparkling personality were a few things the woman had, that was for sure. And he wasn’t sure, but he was fairly certain that her face had gotten redder than it had been a minuet ago. But he had to admit, it was always a little difficult to tell if his eyes were telling the truth when he’d been drinking, so the most he could do about it was brush it off. Playing off her remarks as if it wasn’t that big of a deal, the wizard winked back at her playfully “ Mm I must have already started forgetting...” He waited a beat before shaking his head to let her know he was kidding “I’m very much kidding. Everyone’s asking where you’ve been, and telling me to tell you to come back. They miss you too...” Well that had gotten a little more serious than he’d intended. Oops. Oh well. At least it was the truth, right?

“I suppose I could have done worse for company, he seems like a pretty nice pup, after all.” At her mention of violence, Leifr’s mind was taken off into a whole other part of himself. Poor dog was probably knocked around and yelled at. Not that’d he’d ever done that to an animal. A human? Unfortunately. With the war being over it was easy to forget, just for a moment that he’d been violent himself. But it always came hurtling back, just in the middle of conversations like this one. He’d gotten pretty good at masking the awkward pauses where he’d get lost in thought, like he was now, but even if she hadn’t noticed his incredibly brief lapse, he had, and it made him uncomfortable. He was drunk, and wanted to be happy drunk, not wallowy drunk. And he was grateful when the subject changed again.

Did he have practice drinking and being drunk? Absolutely. Snorting, Leifr looked at her and smirked “I’ve been practicing being drunk since before you were even at Hogwarts...” Merlins balls, that made him feel old. And almost bad for being attracted to someone younger than he was by that much, but he also understood that they were both consenting adults, so it didn’t really matter. It just made him feel old as hell. Laughing and shrugging it off, the man continued on “I didn’t know you wanted to come with me...Next time I go out, I’ll let you know....If you think you can keep up” It was a petty challenge, but he wouldn’t have been himself had he not dropped something like that for her to take. Besides, going out drinking with someone like her, would always be fun, there was no questioning that. Not to mention he found her to be gorgeous, and going out would be just an added bonus.

Drunk as he might have been, the way her thigh brush against his, accident or not, was not lost on him. The contact cut through the drunk fog that had settled around his mind, grabbing his attention almost immediately. Resisting the urge to clear his throat nervously, Leifr grinned and took the wiggling glass of Whiskey “Absolutely” and after a pause “But If I knew better, I’d say you might be trying to get me even drunker and take advantage of me...” He was in truth teasing, but a part of him knew that if that’s really what she had in mind, the chances that he’d stop her right away were slim. Shooing the thought away, Leifr raised his glass again looking at Alicia as he did so “Cheers...to...Whiskey I suppose” He wasn’t sure what else he could toast to, at least at the moment.

“Yeah right.” Alicia rolled her eyes and gently pushed her shoulder against Leifr’s before glaring at him playfully. “You’re not that much older than I am.” And if he was using that as an excuse or something to shy away from her, she was going to slug him one. “You do remember I’m 21, not 19 or even 18…so it’s okay to be attracted to me, I promise.” Batting her lashes, she leaned back against the plush couch. “Of course I’d like to come out with you…You could show a girl a good time, yeah?” A full pink lip was nibbled lightly as she watched him before smirking, shrugging her shoulders. “Keep up? Oh love…You’ve got the wrong girl.” He’d have to keep up with her, if he was prone to wobbling like this.

Her fingertips brushed against his when he took the glass from her, and it was like an electric shock through her arm. Had lightning struck her then, or was it just the feel of her skin against his? She’d almost tapped her glass against his, before his previous statement caught up to her and an aborted “Cheers” fell flat from her lips as she stared at him. “Take advantage of you?” She said softly, cheeks flushed. She took a big gulp of the whisky, and hummed softly as if she was going to sooth away the burn. Alicia could already feel the liquor running through her system, adding a little light headedness and bravery to the blushing lion.

Setting the now empty glass aside, Alicia leaned forward so her hand was on Leifr’s thigh as she moved closer, invading his personal space. “I don’t need to get you drunk to make a move on you…I just need to get myself drunk on liquid bravery…” That being said, she removed the space separating them. Whiskey warm lips pressed against his as she softly kissed him. It was only a brief kiss, just a tasting of his lips before she moved backwards a bit. When she was finally back on the couch, she sat up swiftly walking over to the bar.

Well trained hands moved to make her favorite drink as she kept light chatter going. “I’m glad you decided to come over tonight. Tomorrow night I’m going to be exhausted. It’s my dad’s favorite time of the year, and my mother wants to decorate the entire house for Christmas. I think we're having a 12 foot tree this year.” She laughed nervously, in a cloud of disbelief. Had she just kissed Leifr and run? Possibly. Turning, she leaned against the wall and watched him as she stirred her drink. “What are you doing this Christmas?”

”Yeah right”

Leifr grinned at her challenge of his declaration “Mm what?” It’s the truth..” He finished laughing softly. He really wasn’t that much older than she was, and he knew it, but when  number were put side by side, he couldn’t help but feel a little gray around the muzzle. Shrugging lightly, and taking a sip of his whiskey the man eyed her as he spoke, mischief clear on his features “Who said I was attracted to you?” He winked “And believe me, I know how much older than you I am.” His drunk mind was trying to figure out where this whole conversation was going. For once in a long time, he couldn’t really figure it out, but was also too buzzed to let himself get irritated about it. It was a happy medium.

Oh, she wanted to go out with him, hey? That would be fun. Smiling at her again, he smirked a little at her mention of a good time. There were multiple definitions that he could attach to that, but he settled for a smirk, a slight nod, and a “Of course I could show a girl a good time..” He let his words hang before adding good naturedly “I’m a gentleman, after all.” He tried his best to be one, anyway, and he liked to think that most the time he was successful at being one. But, as much as he liked himself, he knew what he thought of himself paled in comparison to what she  might think of him. He would always like himself, but if someone like Alicia enjoyed his company, he must have been doing something right.

His eyes dropped momentarily to her lips, when she habitually bit her lip. She thought she could keep up with him? And from the sounds of things she thought she could outlast him. Nope. Not a chance. He’d been fostering a drinking habit for longer than he often liked to admit, and although he had it mostly under control, he knew he could drink much more than was good for him. Not that he’d make her push those limits. Grinning at her again, Leifr chuckled “The wrong girl, hmm? We can certainly find out, but am I supposed to take that as you suggesting you could out drink me? I don’t think so..d’you know how much it takes to get me to where you’re seeing me tonight?” He asked, genuinely curious to see what the witch next to him thought he could handle. He was rambling a little, but he didn’t mind, they were just talking, after all.

But when her hand brushed up against his, just as innocent as any other time their hands had brushed during work, he found that it cut through the sluggishness like it had the first time. It was hard to miss, but at the moment, Leifr couldn’t really do more than drunkenly ponder why it was happening, and any deeper thought as to the contact was lost. But his mind was very preoccupied by the fact that they kept brushing up against each other, and the fact that that was incredibly distracting. Not that he had anything to be distracted by, anyway.

When Alicia just about took her glass of whiskey out in one go, the wizard was rather surprised. Not many people, male or female could tolerate doing something like that with an alcohol like Ogdens. It wasn’t called firewhiskey for nothing. At her question the man nodded, watching her, slightly curious and a bit confused all at once. Why was she staring at him like it was some big deal? He’d just been poking fun at her like he always had. He didn’t quite see why it was that big of a deal. Instead of thinking about it too hard, the ex-Gryffindor took another sip of his whiskey, and sat back into the couch, enjoying the comfort and company.

But then, his brain had even more catching up to do. Just as he was contemplating the comfort of the couch and just how much he enjoyed the witch’s company, his senses were thrown into high alert, even with his fuzzy mind. Her hand was on his thigh. That was the first thing to make it through the fuzz. He watched her through his lashes, a hint of confusion etching over his features. He was enjoying the fact that Alicia’s hand was on her leg, and was about to make a snarky comment when his thoughts were interrupted all over again. She’d been saying something about liquid bravery too, but then she’d kissed him and he’d forgotten to pay attention to anything else for a moment.

It was over as quick as it had started, and it took Leifr a moment to process what had just happened. Alicia’d kissed him. He sat there and blinked once, then a second time, his brain fighting to be quick to wrap itself around the turn of events. Part of him was all giddy, while the other was much more smug and self assured. Naturally, the latter won out over the former. It was another moment before a hint of a smirk played across his lips as he considered her, and listened to her idle chatter while she made herself a drink. Why she’d run away, he wasn’t sure, but his mind was already working on ways to remedy that situation. But he could be patient too.

She was glad he’d come over tonight? He certainly was too. He hadn’t expected any of the events unfolding to be happening. He’d expected to pop by for a quick chat, and that be it, but the night had other things in store. Not that he was complaining. It was then that an idea struck the eldest of Koli Trickett’s sons. He hadn’t honestly heard much of what she’d been saying before, except for the last thing she’d said. She’d asked him what he was doing for christmas. Naturally he was going to the Trickett family christmas, and that was always fun, but rather than just talking about it, he had a better idea.

Leifr considered the drink in his hand carefully, deliberately not saying anything in response to her chatter, question included, other than nod. When a few moments had passed, and he decided he really had nothing to lose, Leifr looked her in the eye, and downed the remained of his whiskey, then held it up as if to say ‘would you look at that? I’m out of my drink’. Then in a few long strides he’d left the comfort of the couch, managing to keep himself from wobbling too badly, before coming to stand in front of Alicia. He was just in arms reach of the bar, and deliberately leaned into her personal space as he went to set the glass down.

At this point, he was so close it was likely she could feel his breath on her cheek. He kept his stance relaxed, and nonthreatening as he set the glass down with a soft thunk. Instead of backing away, the wizard leaned in closer still, this time pressing his lips softly but firmly against Alicia’s. His kiss didn’t last any longer than hers had, but he didn’t back away once he’d removed his lips from hers. He blinked slowly, looking at her calmly, if not a little hazily before the words slipped out “I’m going to my family christmas...and I’m thinking I might take you with me..” He trailed off kissing her again, though this time he let it last longer, and let his hand rest gently on her waist before asking her softly as he broke away “How’s that sound?” He wasn’t sure if the idea had been as good as he thought it had when it had first popped into his head, but all was said and done now, all he could do was wait.

Her fingers trembled a bit as she used the glass stirrer to get the whiskey totally over the ice. She just wanted her drink to get cold, something that was a little more shocking than the usual warmth she enjoyed. Alicia probably shouldn’t be drinking anymore because apparently she did drastic stuff while drinking. Why couldn’t she be brave enough to do this without liquor? What type of half-ass Gryffindor was she. Her free hand slid down her thigh and she tried to ineffectually tug her shorts down like that was going to do anything to preserve her modesty at this point. She couldn’t help but babble, and her words almost skipped a beat when he just kept looking at her.

Why didn’t he speak? Was he that surprised that she’d kiss him that he was focusing all of his attention on her? All it did was make her more nervous, and she couldn’t help the tiny squeak noise that left her lips as soon as he got up. Where was he going? Shit, he was coming towards her. She took her drink and downed it again, closing her eyes at the burn before putting the glass down. Licking her lips, she backed further against the wall in the hopes that if she needed to she could just slid through it. Bare feet danced underneath her slightly, and she bit her lip again.

He was so close, she could smell him. He smelled like …Leifr. It was good, warm and she relaxed slowly at the familiar warmth slide down her belly. Flinching slightly at the glass hitting the bar stand, doe eyes focused on Leifr’s face. She’d never seen him so intent before. Why is he moving so close? God, he’s handsome. Look at those eyelashes on h… When his lips touched hers, her eyes fluttered shut for a milisecond before shooting open to stare at him. What? She licked her lips, staring at him stunned. Her hands reached out to rest on his chest, fingers curling into his shirt slightly.

Christmas? With his family? With him? As his date? Like, holding his hand and stuff? OH! Before she could even nod to answer, his lips were on hers again and this time she had the chance to respond to his kiss. His whiskey tinged lips were soft against hers and she moved so she was closer to him, hands sliding to rest on his chest. When he pulled away, his breath was mingling with hers. She let her right hand slide into his hair nodding. “I’d…I’d like that.” Then she leaned upwards and pressed her lips against his, reveling in the feeling of his kiss. Her lips brushed against his gently and her hand curled in his hair. Pulling away reluctantly, she rested her forehead on his shoulder, cheeks flushed red and bright.

“…You’re not just doing this cause you’re drunk, are you? Cause I’ll beat you slowly if you’re doing this just for a lark.” And probably die of mortification and never be able to talk to him ever again. Her grip tightened in his hair slightly, reflexively, revealing her anxiety.

The first thing Leifr noticed was that Alicia’s hand was in his hair. Grinning at her softly the wizard was about to tell her just how happy he was that she’d said yes, when Alicia’s lips were pressed against his own, momentarily causing him to lose his train of thought. All he could focus on for a few moments was the way her lips against his, and the way her hand curled into his hair. Not that he was complaining, of course, but it made thinking about what he wanted to do next a little more challenging.

Thankfully though, it really wasn’t that difficult to figure out once they’d broken apart. She’d settled for resting her head on his shoulder, he noted hazily. The wizard found the action endearing, really. Laughing softly, Leifr wrapped his arms around the witch, and hugged her gently. Taking a moment to figure out what it was he exactly wanted to say before shaking his head, and speaking softly “Mm. No. I’m not.” He paused choosing his words even more carefully “Did give me the idea, my being drunk. But I thought it was a pretty good one, so I asked you.” He finished, shrugging.

Leifr frowned to himself for a moment before letting go of the woman in front of him, just enough so that they could see eye to eye. Still frowning, he studied her face for a beat and then spoke “ I wouldn’t have asked you to come with me if I didn’t like you...” He waited, wanting to gauge her reaction to his question. When he got one, the man continued “And I do like you.” He quirked an eyebrow at her playfully, hoping to break the serious mood. It was hard to believe that a drunken idea had turned out to not be so bad after all.
