“No I don’t need your help, yes I’m quite aware of where I’m headed, and no I don’t need you to hold my hand.” Blo stared down the ministry lackey and watched as he backed away before completing the tap tap tap that her heels were singing along the marble floor as she headed to the department of transportation. Voice loud enough to travel, she sneered slightly. “It’s like these men have never seen a pair of tits before.” It didn’t take long before the men who were veering way too close made their way to the opposite sides of the hall. A victorous smirk covered her face for a fleeting moment before the former Slytherin made her way to her destination with a seductive sway to her hips.

It wasn’t often that Blo could personally visit the Department to get her portkeys that she needed for travel. Hell, she usually didn’t have too. Once a week, she sent a letter describing what she needed and they were sent to her within hours perfect. This week however had been disastorous. She’d been flung everywhere, sent to places she’d never been before, and dumped in a fountain which involved the Italian aurors to come and obliviate the muggles. While she usually didn’t have a problem with the Italy’s finest who seemed to all pack the long arm of the law, it’d totally messed up the interview she’d been on.

She’d written a complaint under her supervisor’s name and gotten an immediate meeting with one of the portkey officials that was higher up on the food chain. One who’d she’d known intimately, and a devilish idea crawled into her mind. Morrison Thorne had been the blessing of her whole fifth year. A very handsome Slytherin who flirted almost as well as she did…it wasn’t surprising that she’d fallen into his web so easily. She didn’t mind one bit. Their encounters through the whole year kept Blo from losing her mind during the hard exams, and just imagining his fingers digging into her hips had a shiver slide down her back. She loved toying and teasing him, especially since he got all impatient with her. They hadn’t seen each other in eons, and she wanted to know how he’d grown up. She’d grown up pretty well after he’d left, and Blo wanted to know if he missed her. It wasn’t like he knew she was coming, so she’d enjoy the surprise. Thank god for the floo, because she was pretty sure if she’d gone outside in this winter weather she’d freeze her tits right off.

Blo was finally waved into his office and she walked through the open door, letting her hair swing behind her, bone straight and sexy. Meeting his eyes boldly, she ignored the chair in front of his desk and closed the door behind her, walking around and sitting on the edge of his desk. As she crossed her legs, her already short skirt rose over her thick thighs and she tilted her head. Looking at him out of the corner of her eye, she pouted slightly.

“I’m here to file a complaint, and possibly gets some compensation for my pain and suffering due to some mishaps from your department?” If her finger trailed down his jaw slightly at her emphasized word, then that was his and her business now wasn’t it?

Other than the small surprise chunk of curdled milk in his tea that morning, Morrison's day had simply been another one at the office. Since they were right on the cusp of the impending holiday season, he had almost become accustomed to the copious amounts of work that came along in December. The piles of parchment and constant flow of paper airplanes coming and leaving his office didn't even phase him anymore. If anything, the chaos had become a fixture between the four walls, and their absence might have alerted him more than their presence. While there was always someone complaining about the workload during lunch, he was more than happy that by this point no one expected him to reciprocate those feelings. Most people that knew anything about him could tell that a busy day with a lot to do was where Morrison thrived, and was the environment he preferred.

It had left little time for his business endeavours outside of work as of late. For the past few months he had not been taking any new business, and had only been fulfilling needs of repeat business. By this point, working with the Regans was a job of its own merit, in both  time and compensation, the later of course making up for the former. Hard work was in his blood, and as long as the relationship remained mutually beneficial, Morrison had no time putting in the hours as Milo, and to keep building his reputation on both sides of the law.

The meeting had been part of his morning memos, but had no indication of any time frame in which the complaintant would be showing up. Had he not been so distracted by the magical incompetence detailed in the report, he may have taken the time to find this out. This was going to cut into his work schedule though, and he didn't have time for that. Since he was sure that whoever it was would appreciate any accommodations on the Ministry's behalf, his door had been left ajar, leaving himself open to their arrival at their convenience.

The click of the heels had been lost in the mix of other noises out in the main offices; Morrison's nose was buried in a piece of parchment that he was carefully drafting a letter onto, ensuring both legibility and professional presentation, so the visitor's presence was not immediately noticed. It wasn't until he heard the door shut that he was snapped out of his thoughts, his eyes darting toward the source before his head even moved. The legs crossing the room wordlessly immediately jarred his memory. Even as his gaze move up the body, the exposed skin had given the identity away, though they seemed very out of place to him with clothing accompanying them.

Morrison let his quill fall into the inkwell, and set the letter aside just in time for Blo to perch herself on his desk. He rose from his chair, his eyes flickering toward the door to double check it had been shut, his hand rising with his wand in unison; with a wave, the lock audibly clicked, and he dropped it back to its place on the best. The front of his body was in very close proximity with her crossed legs, and his neck was tilted just slightly to meet her eyes, still slight shorter than him while sitting on the desk. Despite the time between their last encounter, the scenario felt very familiar. The former Slytherin was containing himself however, forcing his right hand to not glide along her thigh, and stopping his left from combing through her hair, slowly crawling over her body to settle on the small of her back. He was, after all, at work, and he was nothing if not a professional.

His jaw clenched and soon relaxed at her touch. "The Ministry is deeply apologetic for your troubles, Miss Kincaid." A teasing smile curled his lips, and his eyes were distracted with the familiar landmarks of her face. "I have probed the issue, and believe I have found the spot of concern. I have thrust myself into a position to take care of it." He couldn't help but laugh at how quickly their banter had returned, without even a thought. His face had crept slowly closer to hers, their breath beginning to mix in the air. "I will personally be filling and satisfying any needs you may have to better your experience with the Ministry's services."

His face curled to the side of hers, his mouth mere inches from her ear. "However, knocking is only polite, wouldn't you agree?" It may have been long ago since they had last spoken, but he still remembered how to push her buttons and the games they once played. "Ten points from Slytherin, for lack of personal manners."

Click

Her heart started beating faster and it took everything she had not to reach out and grip his shirt. She wasn’t a silly quid player, and he wasn’t the Head Boy. So why did it seem like they were back in school and she was anxious just being around him. He locked the door, and it was like all of the noisiness from the outside disappeared, and all she could hear was the thump of her own pulse. Her eyelashes fluttered, and her teeth bit into her bottom lip as he loomed just above her. Her fingers slid gently across his jaw again, and she almost dared to lean forward and let her lips follow their path, but for some reason she was shy. Morrison had always had this power over her that made her feel different in her skin. Where she was usually loud, he had her murmuring softly. Where she was adventurous, he had her very daring…well in the things that mattered the most.

Then he began to speak and a low laugh danced from full lips. He remembered! They’d played this game so many times, using words that meant different things. Sexual things. She wasn’t a fool. Their eventual friendship had been based mostly on their carnal beginning. No matter how well they’d gotten a long together, sometimes it only took a quick shift, and they were back to basics. Brown eyes ducked downwards as she struggled to formulate what she was going to say. He was as quick witted as she was, and she loved the challenge of trying to get one up at him. At all the appropriate places, she let out little feminine giggles of appreciation at his innuendos.

He came closer and closer, and her eyes were wide with desire. She couldn’t help it. It was as if Morrison always knew where her on switch was and didn’t even have to try to get her riled up. She licked her lips and bit the bottom one again, pressing her cheek against his slightly. Blo couldn’t help it, but she nuzzled her cheek against his slightly, like an eager kitten asking for attention. Was knocking polite? “Yes…” She trailed off, unsure of where he was going with that. The door had been open. Did she really need to knock? It hadn’t been like he’d had company after all. Points? Her hands reached up to flatten on his chest and she let out a little noise, shaking her head slightly. This was a game she knew and always lost.

Taking a deep breath, she leaned forward and let her lips brush lightly against his ear. “Pity that we aren’t in school anymore and you can’t punish me for losing points, Mister Thorne…” She let her lips do as they wanted and brushed against the corner of his jaw. “We’ll have to find another way for you to make sure I’m a good girl, yeah…” Laughing, she pulled away slightly so his face was in front of hers as she cupped his cheeks in her hand. Letting her eyes travel his face, she frowned deeply. “When was the last time you took a vacation?” She leaned forward and nipped at his bottom lip before pulling away. “Don’t make me have to visit you and make sure you relax. I will, you know. My birthday is coming up, and I’m going somewhere warm. And you look pretty with a tan.” She wasn’t above kidnapping people to take them on vacation. More like banging at Morr’s door until he let her in, but it was pretty much the same thing.

“…And why did I have to visit you first, Morri? It’s been like a month since that Ministry event and you couldn’t even be bothered to come speak to me after you saw me.” She stared into his eyes, actually hurt. She’d sulk for the majority of that night, and the next day. Huffing, she let go of his face and pouted not looking at him. “…I missed you…” Maybe she was soft, but she didn’t really care. It wasn’t like anyone but him could hear her.

It crossed his mind a few times that he was in a rather risky position for him to be at the office. Morrison's eyes broke their gaze with Blo's momentarily, just to check that there was no line of vision accessible from the other side of the wall. He had never completely forgotten where he was; acuity of mind at all times was something that had become very much a necessity in the man's life. However, based on his past interactions with the woman positioned on his desk, certain reactions of his came naturally without much thought when it came to her. Placing himself within such close proximity had not even been voluntary as much as it was just simply what he did when graced with her presence.

When he felt hers against his chest, his left hand rose to cup hers, his thumb caressing a pattern of bone under her skin, the soft, smooth skin very familiar to the touch. He felt her face move against his, noticing the difference of her soft cheek versus the small hairs growing from his own. Blo's lips sent shivers down his spine each time they connected with a different part of his face, goosebumps rising in their trail. They weren't really kisses persay; that was always something that the two seemed to put off as long as possible. Teasing her had been something that had driven him to keep her around. The former Slytherin typically bored of people rather quickly, but his former housemate currently pressed against his chest had always piqued his interest, far beyond their first encounter.

His lips curled to a smile as she referred to him as Mister Thorne, something typically reserved for his professional life. Even among other wizards, he was still emerging from the shadows of Audra and Jefferson Thorne; more often than not, he was still referred to by his first name, like a damn child, something that irritated him each and every time.

"I'm not sure that even I could be capable of getting you to be a good girl. Why would I ever go against what nature intended?" While her eyes traveled his features, his remained locked into hers, watching her pupils bounce across her eyes, their movements seemingly exaggerated at such a close range. "You could probably guess that I'm not a very big fan of vacations. You know what they say, so little time, so much to do." The last time Morrison had tried to take a proper vacation, he had not only ended up returning earlier than anticipated, he had not been able to keep himself from working anyways. He might take a day or two on occasion, but he couldn't possibly imagine taking more than that at one time; not with the position he was at in his career, and where he wanted to get to.

His tongue flicked at her teeth as they clamped onto his lip, gliding along them before she released his flesh. "I would be more than happy to celebrate your birthday, but my appearance at any locales farther south would be limited to hours. This place doesn't run itself, and thanks to all of the idiots on the other side of that wall, it is difficult to run it even when I am here." His coworkers weren't complete morons, and Morrison certainly was not the main cog in the Ministry machine, but he liked to think he was. His father had always told him to act in a such a way that you would like to be perceived.

Morrison was quite skilled at facing confrontation head on, but being questioned by Blo while looking directly into her eyes had him itching to divert his stare to any other corner of the office. His hands found her hips, leaning himself gently into her, though keeping his upper body at a comfortable speaking distance. The two Slytherins had never defined themselves in any shape or form, and he liked that, but he had a soft spot for her, and seeing hurt in her eyes did not live up to how he felt about her. He knew they would never work in any sort of relationship, but as a friend he truly cared for her.

That being said, he was not sure how to broach the subject she had just brought up. Morr had an excellent memory, and he remembered the night perfectly. With so many of his colleagues having a wonderful time elsewhere, it had been the perfect opportunity to get some things done back in the office that he certainly preferred for them not to know about, and despite having known her for years, details he wished not to impart on Blo. It had been a pleasant surprise seeing her in a room full of people he didn't much care for, but as the night had closed and everyone, for the most part, had more drinks than they should have, he knew no one had been even considering going  back to the office, so the timing was perfect. He had disappeared just before the majority started leaving, and the night had gone off without a hitch. He had run into a couple making out in the elevator, one of which he knew to be married, but that was none of his business.

"I'm truly sorry. Something come up back in the office for some work that I had somehow let slip my mind. Quite urgent, but still, incredibly rude of me." His fingers rose to trail along her jawline, down her neck to find her shoulder. He slowly leaned into her, speaking quietly."Allow me to make up for such an indiscretion." Just as he finished, his lips found the familiar skin halfway up her neck from her collarbone, kissing along the flesh up to her lips, placing soft kisses the entire way.
