[solved] birth date

Why are we told to omit the year of birth in the character sheet? Is that information considered irrelevant because the age is listed as well?

Yes, that's mainly the reason. Also, on Magical Hogwarts, we're currently in December 1999 playtime. If members include the birth year of their characters, it can sometimes become a bit confusing so we decided it'd be clearer if we just didn't include them at all. I hope this helps :]

Oh, I hadn't thought of that! I was counting back from 1999, but I can see how it would get confusing if someone was using the current RL year to create their character. A first year Hogwarts student born in 2003 wouldn't have even been born yet in playtime, hehe.
