So much is locked

Why is so much locked. Writing a character takes so much time If I am to match what you guys have set the bar in the long time you guys have been here. So having only the sandbox unlocked to an unsorted seems unffair. I can't really participate in any of the areas that you guys use to build social interactions, and connections. You are more likely to connect and think of connections with a friend then a stranger. But by having the social interactions of a person narrowed they can not build friendships with existing people until there first character is complete. Then a plot board I was reading and thought was interesting on becomes locked to me less then twenty four hours after I posted so that I can not post anymore. Why show people what they can not participate in.

We only allow certain boards available to members because in the past we've had information stolen from us and used on other sites. The Sandbox is where many of our members do connections for their WIPs. Outside of that it could be through PM to another member. As for the plot board I apologize it became locked, I will see what the reasoning is with our main admin.

If you would like I can make your account into our temporary Sparklypoo. It allows you to see the sorted character boards and other such places. However, I would ask that you refrain from posting in any area outside of what you can see and reply to right now.

The plot board is open to Unsorted members, you should be allowed to post there. What is it telling you?

I don't mind not seeing sorted characters it was the out of character that I wondered about. It just seems odd to be able to see it and to see people talking and laughing and making friendships but as a new person I can not join in, until I am sorted and who knows when that will be due to trying to make an amazing character sheet like I see in most sandbox filled with events and history and connections. I am sorry if I seemed rude I just wanted to understand. I have played many a rp's and agree to the fact most the board of the role playing being closed to people who are not full members yet. Yet never was the ooc sections closed to any but the ones who had not registered yet. So I found it new and odd but went along with it accepting it but then having the plot board locked unto me I guess you could say was the last straw. Yet not in a negative way but in in a way to give me the push to find out why things are the way they are.

It was the topic about future plots, the reply button was taken away and so is the heart button. I went to go heart someones idea because it sounded so awesome and couldn't find it so then whent to quote it and tell them I liked there ideas and there was no reply button.

Hi there!

Usually with new members, connections and so on are made in the sandbox. After a character is sorted it's much easier to get involved with the community and make more connections, come up with more detailed history and plan future characters. I understand your frustration at being unable to join in with the rest of the community until you're sorted, but I can assure you that you don't need it to initially create an original character, and it will be much easier to be a part of everything once you are! The sandbox area can be very helpful for making connections and getting help with creating your character.

Hope that helps. :)

Thank you for the responses, and again I state I didn't mean any of this as a complaint to change but was just trying to understand.

Questions are always welcome. If there's anything else you'd like explained or clarified, don't hesitate to ask here or send myself or any of the other admins a PM.
