Over the past week or so, we've been testing out some new features for the board, and I'm pleased to announce that they're ready to be released to the entire board.
The first of the two features is a Mentions system. Simply type @ and then a character account and it'll create a link to that account. This mention will also show up in the Mentions tab on your profile.
The second feature is an Alerts system. This will send you a little alert that will show up next to your name at the top right corner whenever you receive a new PM, when someone mentions you, when someone likes a post of yours, and it will also alert you to new topics (Board Subscribers Only) and new posts (Topic Subscribers Only). The admins will also be able to send a board-wide alert for important announcements. Now, I realize that some of you may not want to see these alerts. In order to customize which alerts you see, go to Profile > Alerts > Alert Settings.
