Ever posted to a thread from the wrong account, because that's what you happened to be logged in on? Ever wished you could keep up with all your accounts recent replies from one place? Ever missed a PM because it went to an account you rarely log into? Ever wanted to post in mate/date/shovel or I ship it! with a character, but needed to switch and been beaten to posting by someone else?
Wish no more. With this feature, you will be able to associate all of your accounts to a single main one. From that account you will be able to post from any of the linked accounts, modify posts made by any of your accounts and view/post in all boards the any of your accounts can see, such as student common rooms. As a bonus you will also get a link to view recent replies to your other accounts, and all PMs to your linked account will be auto-forwarded to your main account.
How to Set Up
Your "Master Account" is the account from which you can vote in polls. You do not need to do anything special to this account. See the post below if you can't remember who your voting account is.
For each of your other accounts, you will see a new option in the "Account Settings" section of your profile.
It is an auto-suggest field, so start typing in the display name (not username) of your main account and you will get a list of options. Select an option from the list then enter your password at the bottom and save your profile.
How to Use
Now when you log back into your master account you will be able to post from your linked accounts by choosing that option in a dropdown on the post page.
You will also be able to modify any posts from those accounts - the option to do so should be displayed in the posts in the normal manner. On the modify post page, you can also change the account that a post appears from. Post counts will be attributed to the account that the post appears to be from (i.e. if you change the account on a post, the old account will lose a post and the new account will gain one.)
All permissions that any of your linked accounts have will be given to your master account. You'll see any hidden boards that your other accounts and can see.
The restricted permissions of unsorted characters will override any permissions you do have though. As such, unsorted accounts can't assign master accounts.You'll also notice a new option at the top right of the page: "Show new replies to your linked accounts." This does what it says on the tin (though note it is new replies as according to your master account, rather than the account doing the posting).
PMs are automagically forwarded, so there's nothing special to do about that.
And before anyone asks, No, this is not yet integrated with the new alerts system. I'll get on that soon.

Error Reports topic. Except if you want your main (voting) account changed to a different account. In that case please fill out this form (using the full display names of your characters please!), and post in this thread:
