Ever since they'd met in the park in Poland, Mateusz had wanted to see Maia again. There was something about her that captivated him and made him want to see her again and again. He hadn't the faintest clue what was causing it, but it was a welcome change from being depressed all the time. Sure, the time spent with his daughter was enough to put a smile on his face, but he'd been lonely since the day Dijana had left him and longed for a time when he wouldn't feel lonely any longer.
Today wasn't day, but he was going to make the best of it.
He arrived at the location he'd been given, eying the cabin as he walked towards the door. He was arriving unannounced, but he thought the element of surprise could be on his side. There was a light on inside the cabin and he could see the faint outline of a female inside the kitchen. Once he finally approached the door, he lifted his hand up and rapped on the door several times and then took a step back, shoving his hands in his pockets as he waited for her to open the door. If he was good, maybe she'd have a treat for him.
The brunet soon heard a female's voice, however it didn't sound like Maia's. His eyebrows furrowed and he bit his bottom lip, suddenly realizing that showing up unannounced probably wasn't the best idea. He was about to turn away when the door opened. He looked up and spied a different girl who then yelled at him. Alright then. Knocking on the door again, he called out to her. "Is Maia here? I've come to see her. She's a... friend of mine. Open the door, please. It's cold out here."
