This is just a reminder to everyone that it is not necessary to write a large application for every unique feature a character may have. Generally, special feature applications are required for features named in the guide, features that are creature-related (i.e., centaurs, mermaids, half-breeds, werewolves, etc.), features that give a character powers that are unheard of in HP-canon (i.e., plant, animal, and/or element manipulation), and features that directly affect or involve other characters.
Applications are not required for portraits, ghosts, or house elves. Instead, we ask that a paragraph or two is written in the "Anything else?" section of the character's sheet explaining why the feature is desired and what it adds to the character.
Please remember that the Special Features administrator and the rest admin team are here to offer any advice as needed. If you aren't sure whether a feature would require the large application, send one of us a PM and we'll let you know.
