[Camden] Devil may care (Harlan)

It had been a long and busy day. With the new exhibition at the gallery more people came in and looked around. The sales so far were not going too well but Louise was not worried. It would all get better in time and, if it didn't, she'd have to find a new thing to do. It was not like she expected to run the gallery for the rest of her life although for the time being she still enjoyed it very much. It was great to take photos and exhibit them together with pieces of art that came from artists from all over Europe. She liked having people admiring and even criticising the pictures and sculptures. It was always engaging to discuss art with those who found their way into the little gallery in Camden.

However, after a day of chatter about art, Louise was eager to distract herself for a bit. She found that she didn't sleep well when she just went home from the gallery, spent some time reading or doing tasks around her flat. Hence the witch strolled through Camden now. Her high heels clacking on the pavement. She was wearing muggle attire today which meant that she could easily take a walk through Camden without worrying about attracting unwanted attention. Her blue jeans were tight and the peach coloured top was showing a bit of a cleavage. Enough to be sexy but not revealing anything that should better not be revealed.

It was past 9 pm when she found herself in front of a small pub. Louise never worried about going to pubs alone so she pushed the door open and stepped into the rather dark pub. It smelled of old wood, leather and alcohol. Somehow the woman liked the atmosphere at the place and decided to take a seat at the bar. That was where lonely people ended up anyway, wasn't it? She smiled at this thought. She was not particularly lonely, just alone. Lonely meant that she was desperate to find someone to be with and that wasn't the case; most of the time it wasn't like that anyway.

The lanterns on the bar and the tables were looking charmingly ancient, their flickering light barely lit the room. It took a while until her eyes got used to the dim light of the place. She looked around some more, trying to figure out what kind of people usually frequented the pub. While the witch had been to many locations in Camden this small place was new to her. Asking for a glass of red wine, Louise rested her chin on folded hands while her elbows sat on the wooden bar.

As the door swung open again, Louise turned to take a look at the newest guest. She knew that face! A slight smile spread across her features and she wondered if this was really Harlan Bellamy, the rather well known Quidditch player, friend of her brother and actually brother of an ex-boyfriend from her days at Hogwarts. If he remembered her as well? She was not going to wave him or offer any other kind of greeting first. After all, she did not want to be mistaken for a silly fan who was excited to run into a celebrity.
