The show had just begun, which meant that Julietta Ouellet had about an hour before she was needed again, to clean up the seating and spread fresh sawdust on the floor and the like. This, in her mind, was the perfect time to have a Mazoologist come and look at her pet kneazle. Sofie had been playing up a bit recently. In Germany she'd dragged her bed (a muggle dog bed bought cheap from a charity shop), a bag of her food and several of Juliet's jumpers outside and made herself a nest in the snow, where she'd slept that night, without the Parisian realising until morning. Ever since then she'd been sneezing everywhere and wanting lots of cuddles and to just stay inside the caravan all day. The former Bellefeuille suspected that she had a cold, but as kneazles were magical creatures and not like cats or dogs she thought it would be best to get someone to have a look at her and make an official diagnosis.

The Mazoologist that she'd asked to come was one Brooke Farrow. She'd heard about Brooke before, when she'd been talking to people about their animals, and so she felt as though she might be a good choice. If other people she knew trusted the woman, then she trusted the woman to not kill her kneazle while trying to cure its cold. The 19 year old had managed to get hold of the Hogwarts graduate and ask her to meet her on the outskirts of the circus. They were currently in France, although quite a way away from Paris, and she didn't plan to go into the city at any point. Paris held too many memories for her so if she didn't absolutely need to go into it, then she planned on avoiding it.

At 5 to 5 o'clock, Jules ran down the path from the circus tents where all the attractions were to where the caravans of the performers and circus workers were house for the month. As it was winter, they were lined up in two rows, with tarpaulins hung across the pathway down the middle to keep the heat in. The former Bellefeuilles was towards the end, just a few caravans in, so she reached it quickly and stepped inside, scooping Sofie up from where she was asleep in the middle of her owners bed, and using her wand to summon her lead out of the chest in the corner. A lot of her pets things were muggle dog things - Sofie's bed was a dog bed (and despite the fact she had it, she still insisted on sleeping on Julietta's covers) and her lead was a dog lead. Sofie was a fairly well behaved kneazle so she could be trusted without the lead, but it was January and it got dark early, the circus was quite busy, it was cold and she was feeling off-sorts, the Circus worker decided it would be best to put here on the lead, just in case.

Hooking the end of the lead around her wrist and scooping up the sleepy creature in her arms, the 19 year old stepped over Henrique who was snoring sleepily in the doorway and let Julien out for a fly, knowing he'd be back in about an hour, as he always was. She took off at a run to the spot where she was meant to be meeting Brooke, fast enough so she would get there on time, but slow enough that she was less likely to trip and send Sofie flying. She reached the spot - at the edge of the circus, 200 metres left to the entrance, by the brightly lit green tent made of the sparkly material that wasn't in use for another hour or so - as it turned 5 o'clock exactly. Finding a spot of the ground that wasn't so muddy she crouched down and lay Sofie on her knee, trying to gently wake her up from her cold-induced slumber as she waited for the Mazoologist to arrive.
