"You're the one who asked for it!" Danny shot back just as quickly, confused but argumentative as ever. But then they were both holding their bits and Danny was hopping from one foot to the other, trying to keep his hat on his dingaling while also banging on the door to get the girls attention. "C'mon, babe, just open the door," Danny called, nearly shouting so they could hear him through the glass as he made eye contact with the cute Ravenclaw he had been snuggled up with only five minutes ago.
Jeremy called to his snaggletooth Hufflepuff by the one window and Danny took the other. A glimmer of hope lit up his hazel eyes as his cute Ravenclaw came closer to the window, but Penny was there too. Just to ruin everything. "We'll let you in," Penny started as she looked at Danny and Jeremy with a smile. "if Danny can tell us her name," she qualified pointing to the cute Ravenclaw.
Danny guffawed and flapped a hand at her as if it this would be a piece of cake. "Well then, this is no problem then. Why didn't you just ask earlier? There was no need to lock us out. Now that wasn't very nice." He looked at Jeremy. "Do you think that was very nice, Jere? After we shared our candy with them, too!"
"Her name, Danny," Penny called for again from the other side of the door. Danny glanced quickly between Penny, the cute Ravenclaw, and Jeremy. "I know her name," he said confidently as he continued to clutch his hat to his privates. "And it's a good one. A very pretty name. Unique even," he continued, stalling for time. "And it is Jenny!"
Penny shook her head and Danny's smile faltered a little. He knew it was something that started with a J. "Jill?" Another shake of her head. "June? Jessica? Juniper?"
"It's Rachel!" the cute Ravenclaw told him, her pretty smile replaced with a sneer. She turned her back on them and flicked her hair. "Noooo," Danny groaned as he hit the window again with his free hand even as Penny pulled the curtains shut on the compartment. "I don't know dude. I just thought you would have grabbed it. Merlin, now what are we going to do."
Now that they weren't running down the hall, the stares and laugher only increased, especially considering they were locked outside of the compartment and without a plan. "Yeah, it wasn't exactly the plan to show all of London my dingwallace and doodleberries! Maybe some of the other Gryff boys grabbed an extra pair of robes? Oy! Show's over now!" Danny said, stopping halfway through his speech to shoo off the other students.
