"Nope, just a statement of fact," she quipped smartly as she tossed a few empty bottles from the counter into the rubbish bin. No wonder the ladies loved him, she thought. His grin was megawatt magazine worthy. Tara pretended not to notice though. She would never notice something like that about one of the Falcons. Nope, not her.
When she returned with a menu, she felt a small victory, noticing his gaze was on her boobs instead of up a little further. Boys were so predictable, she thought with a roll of her eyes. As she leaned forward, she finally caught his gaze and wondered at the color of his eyes. She hadn't noticed before, but now she could definitely say they were the color of whiskey. His grin made her smile in reaction. "Oh? So you came because you wanted the attention, is that what this is?" she asked him, assuming he had come to boast and prance around the pub, conjuring up his own fan club.
"Would you like me to announce you then, Mr. Sadik?" she leaned closer to whisper to him, revealing that she knew exactly who he was. With just a few words from her, he'd have all the attention he could ever want for one night, from drunken super fans who thought they knew every move the coaches and general manager should make to the quaffle bunnies who wanted to sleep with a player just so she could brag to her friends later. She knew his quidditch stats, but she didn't know him and Tara was at least interested in knowing what his decision would be.
