He moved around to see better, as best he could in the darkness. His blue eyes scanning quickly along the wooden beer stained floor. Jay looked up as Freya came up to him, taking her jacket. The boy rose from where he had been crouching. His inked hand rose to rub the back of his neck as he gave a chuckle. Why hadn’t he thought of using magic? Even drunk, Freya was able to think clearly. “Should have thought of that.” He gave her a smile.

Pale blue eyes dropped as she once more took his hand. His eyes closed as he felt himself twist inside out quickly. It was different when someone else was the apparator. The cold air wrapped him up in a cocoon as they settled. The chill went to his bones causing him to give a slight shiver. He really needed to dress warner. The warmth coming from her body was the only comfort. He looked down at her, she was closer then he remembered. “Yeah, I had nothing to worry about this whole time.” But he did worry because the last thing he needed was to get into trouble. His mother would have killed him for sure.

“Do you think your friends went home?” He remembered that she had asked about them and he took a step away from her. The space had cleared his mind of thoughts of the softness of her lips. It had allowed him room to think without wanting to brush the hair behind her ear. “We can walk for a bit to see if we find them? If we don’t I’ll apparate you home, so you can get some sleep.” So she could be safe.

Freya shivered too. With all of the excitement of going in and out of the house, basically being spies, Freya hadn't really noticed the cold. As the alcohol and adrenaline was gently wearing off, however, Freya was starting to feel the chill on her skin. After a second, Freya dropped his hand with a slightly embarrassed smile. "I shouldn't have apparated," she said, realising that she'd just put them both in danger of splinching. Sometimes when she was drinking it was hard to remember the fact that drunk magic wasn't quite as safe as sober magic was. The blonde crossed her arms over her chest, rubbing her bare arms a little in the hope that the friction would give her some warmth. If she had half a brain, maybe she'd have remembered to to a warming spell. That was a pretty safe one.

"Yeah I think they probably did," Freya said. She'd be getting in contact with Tess tomorrow, she thought. Freya planned on telling her brunette friend all about the strange things that had happened tonight. Freya's gaze met Jay's and she didn't look away. All of the strange things, she thought to herself. Jay took a step away from her and she practically felt the cold air rush in to fill the space he'd left. Freya shrugged her denim jacket on, sweeping her blonde hair out from the collar of it after it was sitting properly on her shoulders. A little glitter fell out from her locks and drifted towards the ground.

"Are you sure?" she asked tentatively. Freya could always catch the knight bus if he didn't want to take her home. "I'm in London, kind of near the Unicorn Farm-" Freya referenced a pub, "And Esmer's little bookshop, you know the area? East of Red's plains." After a moment, she added, "I'd really appreciate it, but you don't have to do it."

His gaze dropped to look over his hands and arms as she apologized. The blood on his arm was dried now, tainting the intricate lines of his tattoos. “Are you okay?” He asked remembering the last time alcohol induced apparition had taken place. He looked at the shorter strands of her hair. “You’re far better at apparating drunk then I am. You kept all your hair.” He joked lightly, giving her a smile. It was a surprising thing how as he sobered up he could clearly recount the nights events.  He’d been wrong to say some of the things he had, but at least nothing truly terrible had happened.

He watched her put on her jacket, his hands sliding in his pockets for a moment. “I’m sure.” He was the reason she was out so late. Yes, he’d wanted to make sure she didn’t get arrested but at the same time he selfishly wanted to be alone with her. “Yeah, I know exactly what area you’re talking about. “ He’d been all over London in his more reckless days and he’d spent time in the area she spoke of. Losing himself to the power of women and undoubtedly breaking hearts. He thought vaguely of having a spoke to calm the excitement of the night, but he just might wait until he got home.

He shifted to hold his elbow for her to take, inked hands still in the warmth of his pockets.
“Shall we, my lady?” His lips curved into a grin that nearly took up his whole face, crinkly the inked 21 beneath his left eye. Once she was ready the world vanished, the ground disappeared and unlike moments ago he simply felt spent. His eyes shifted up as the solid ground returned. There was the bookstore, and in the distance he was sure he saw the pub. “Which way?” He looked along the empty streets of London, memories of his youth flooding his mind. “I have to say…tonight was fun.”

"Oh yeah, I'm great," Freya said, not getting his meaning immediately but answering in her usual bouncy tone anyway just because she felt pretty happy. The blonde reached up for the slightly shorter curl with an embarrassed smile. She tucked it behind her ear but as soon as she'd done so, it slipped right back out. She wasn't used to having a fringe or even strands of hair that short, but it was okay. She'd caught her reflection in a window earlier and it didn't look too bad - it looked sort of like bangs that had grown out and were now swept to one side.

She tried not to blush, but Freya's cheeks basically had a mind of their own. Was it bad that she still had a soft spot for Kerr in her chest somewhere, but that she was here blushing when Jay smiled like that like that? It wasn't the first time since she'd been with Kerr that another boy had made her blush of course, but their friendship made things a little... awkward.  Freya was still getting used to it all. She was still growing up, still learning about herself and the people around her. "Sure thing," Freya said, taking his arm.

Freya closed her eyes as they apparated. Her tummy squirmed but it was all over in an instant as they reappeared on the other side. "I'm just up here," she said, letting go of his arm and gesturing ahead as she started walking. They walked together for a little while. "I had fun tonight too," Freya said honestly. After a moment, she laughed, thinking about the fact that they'd jumped fences and climbed through kitchen windows just to get her wallet and jacket. She shook her head. "Oh that's me," Freya said, motioning to an apartment building they were quickly approaching.

Freya turned to him before ascending the steps to her house. "I had a really nice time," she said genuinely, "and... you know, if you still wanted to get that coffee... I'd be down." Freya hesitated a moment and then leant in and gave him a quick hug. She wrapped her arms around his back and leaned her face on his chest for a moment; at their heights she fit just under his jaw. Pulling back, Freya gave him another bright smile, her cheeks a little flushed. "Well... I'll see you," she said.

His eyes drifted in the direction she pointed before he fell into step beside her. “I’m glad I came out tonight.” He gave another smile; it seemed to be a constant theme of their night. “I think I might stop by St.Mungos on the way home.” He shifted his arm again to look down at the gash that would most likely mar the ink there. “Wouldn’t want to forget to get this looked after and end up with a messed up scar.” He could always visit Murphy but he didn’t want to explain that he had done something reckless in his drunken state. Safer to stop by St. Mungos where this sort of thing seemed fairly common.

He looked over at the apartment before he gazed down at her for what would be the last time of the night.  “Yeah it was a pretty interesting night, who would have ever thought that you be the convincer for a break in?” He gave a grin. “Coffee sounds amazing,” even though he had told her otherwise before. “maybe sometime in the upcoming week? I’m free on Friday morning if that works for you?” His arms wrapped around her as she stepped into his body, chin neatly atop her head.

It was the closest they had been all night and once more Jay had to remind himself that she was off limits. Any other girl on any other night would have been kissed but this hug was good for them. The awkwardness was there but it seemed to have eased up during their break in shenanigans. Long tattooed arms dropped to his side. “Good night.” He back up to step into the street, waiting until she was safely inside before he vanished into thin air.

Walking in St. Mungos, he leaned against the counter. “Splinched myself just need a quick healing..” Taking his seat , waiting to be called, the for Gryfinndor let his head fall back to the wall and the world around him drifted away as the last bit of his drunkness allow him to slip seamlessly into a deep sleep. What a night it had been.

Freya smiled again when he made the joke about her convincing him to break into somewhere. Wait till Finn heard about this story, she thought. St Mungos? Oh, for his cut. Freya nodded, grateful that nothing more serious had happened to either of them. Between the drinking and the apparating and the sneaking around in the house where law enforcement hovered outside, worse things could have happened tonight. Freya took the stairs two at a time, sensing him watching her from the road.

The blonde girl glanced over her shoulder when she got to the top of the stairs, laughing when she realised that he was indeed still down there. She gave a quick wave and then let herself into her building, still smiling a little as she took the stairs rather than the elevator up. The blonde fixed her hair when she got to the top of the stairs and let herself into her apartment. "Finn?" she whispered softly. Freya couldn't remember if he was home tonight or if he was out. He was probably asleep, she thought. When there was no answer, Freya made her way to her bedroom and went straight to her ensuite. She needed a warm shower and to get into some comfy clothes.
