You pucker up our passion's spent
Ryan hated mornings. He rolled over in his bed, groggy, and noticed another body in it. His first thought was that it was Justin and he carefully shifted so as to not wake his not-boyfriend up. Justin worked hard all day and went to school, too. He deserved what little sleep he could get. It was then that he remembered what happened the night before and remembered who exactly was in his bed. Not Justin, but Terry, rather, a friend of Ryan's. More than
friend, but not the same as his not-boyfriend. Definitely not like Justin. Ryan kicked at him, trying to wake the other up and push him out of the bed. “Hey Boot, get up. You're in my bed.”
He didn't usually let his lovers sleep in his bed, Justin aside. He usually fucked them one and that was the end of it, but this was a little different. Terry was the first of Ryan's friends that he'd ever taken beyond friendship. The first guy he'd slept with more than once. That made him special, in some regard, but it didn't really mean that Ryan felt anything more from him than friendship. He just liked that Terry was a sure thing. He liked knowing that he could get the guy into bed almost any night, if he really wanted. He wasn't really what he wanted, but Terry would
suffice.
Especially because what Ryan wanted most of all was a distraction. Things had started to get heavy with his adorable blonde friend-with-benefits. He had started wanting Justin around for more than sex. He wanted him around to snuggle in front of the television. He wanted him around for dinner, and not just because he cooked. He wanted him around all of the time, and worst of all, he still
liked him. Justin made his heart race the same way it had when they were in school. He still had a crush. This time, though, the crush wasn't unrequited.
Ryan couldn't live with that, though. He didn't do relationships. He didn't commit to anyone. He just didn't. He still claimed to Jane that he wasn't gay, even though he exclusively had sex with men now and she totally knew what he and Justin did, despite everything he did to stop her from knowing. Even Kelly knew, despite it all.
So, Ryan had invite over Terry instead. They drank, they made out, they did more than that and they ended up asleep in Ryan's bed. It felt empty. This morning he felt sick from the alcohol, and sick from the other's presence. He didn't like Terry much on a good day, but waking up next to him after weeks of waking up next to Justin made him a little queasy in general. He got out of bed and pulled some pants on.
“Get yourself presentable before going into the living room, Boot. My little sister's here for the summer and I promise she does not want to see your little shrimpy package.” He warned. He didn't bother putting on a shirt, but he did stop by the mirror and comb through his hair to make sure that it was looking fine before he lowered the silencing charms around the room and reached for the handle.
“Boot! Pants! Now!” Ryan reminded.
