Cosimo wasn't a stranger to alcohol, even though he was very much underage. He'd tasted things like beer and rum when he was probably around twelve, or maybe even younger. As a kid, Cosimo had grown up around all kinds of shady personalities offering all kinds of shady things. He'd roamed the streets with a group of older boys doing stupid things like destroying property and picking on other people. Mostly petty stuff, though some of the older guys had been into more serious crime. Still, it wasn't every day that a fifteen year old could actually sit in a bar and get a drink served to them, especially when it wasn't wine or beer.
Holding out his glass for his friend to tap against, Cosimo nodded. "Haven't spend time with the boys for a while," he said gruffly. Everyone knew his best friends were Esperanza and Rizka. He liked the girls a lot - and Rizka could take on any guy in a fight, he thought - but there was something different about spending time with other young men. Something about the energy that he sometimes preferred. Cosimo followed his friend's gaze upward as he sipped his rum and coke, blinking as he saw what the other guy was seeing. Cosimo quickly tilted his head back and finished his drink, then placed the glass on the table with a gentle thud.
Cosimo's eyes went to his friend's neck as Sebastian got up and blasted the flobberworm previously attached to his neck. Cosimo got to his feet more slowly, his gaze wandering around the pub as he searched for more of the little creatures. "You're such a woman," he teased with a well-natured smirk, knowing full well that any of the girls he hung out with might punch him for a comment like that. Still, he drew his wand too. There wasn't a worry about getting in trouble for underage magic in a bar that was clearly full of wizards, right? That was how the trace worked? Cosimo didn't pay attention in History of Magic class. He had Jaspar to do the homework for him in that one.
Oh, okay so the bartkeep guy was a squib. Cosimo was from a pureblooded family but since his mum had only recently fallen back into their good books after years of estrangement - after getting pregnant and having him young - he didn't carry any of that weird pureblooded superiority sentiment. His first instinct was to say no and make some comment about how he wasn't a maid or whatever, but then he thought what the hell. It wasn't every day that you got to wave your wand around at weird slugs and get free drinks for it. "Sure," he said, brandishing his wand. Cosimo had never really been all that good at wandwork but there was nothing difficult about a simple stupefy or a confringo. "You lookin' forward to heading back to school?" he asked his friend as they turned back to the flobberworm infested bar.
