How do you open an account with Gringotts?

To quote the Gringotts guide –

Once you are sorted, the goblins will automatically open you an account and PM you the link to it.

I was hoping to be shorted into Ravenclaw.

If your char is 18 she probably has already graduated from Hogwarts unless there were unusual circumstances (skipping a year or taking a year off) so you can list her as a former Ravenclaw in her sheet but she's probably a graduated adult!
